Default Not sure Hardware or Software

so new box is up and running. Now I'd like to start vid'ing some of my adventures. I have fraps but it only records 1 window and locks my main window up if I fast switch with pwnboxer.

Suggestions? Id like to be able to stream to my jtv channel, upload to youtube and post here.

I have no clue where to start or what to look for.

Personally, I have yet to find a truly good solution to this...
Tim swears by Software Capture(VHScrcap)
Another who has a fantastic stream, Wootalyzer, swears to me by Hardware Cap....They both have quality streams, True HD, functionality, but it seems to be kinda half and half.

Software Cap = free/cheap

Hardware Cap = Requires capture card and HD can = $$$

So my suggestion is to talk to Tim or Cat about VHScrcap, I'd help more but I don't know too much about that stuff...

Streaming = Adobe Flash Media Encoder because the web caster = memory leak. If you need help setting up FME that I can help with.

Umm I think thats all.

Point your questions to there \|/

Which version of FME would you recommend? I remember hearing something about one version being a memory hog.

One thing you'll have to remember, if you go the hardware route, you'll most likely see picture fade from signal degradation. Tim actually had this going on when he was still using a separate PC to stream. You're switching from digital to analog to digital. The longer it stays as analog, the more degradation you'll experience. If your box can handle a software solution, go that route.

I don't know if you can record two WoWs simultaneously with Fraps, but on the JTV Help Forums, Tia_Marie posted a tutorial on how to stream. Tested it out last night and it works perfectly. Desktop gaming, World of Warcraft Broadcasting - Justin.tv Community Help Forums
