Yup I run 2x monitors. What I do is put 1x WoW full screen on my left monitor (which is NOT the default windows desktop main area, ie, it doesn't have the task bar). I then put all the other WoWs on my other monitor.

OR

When I am streaming the live video, I put 5x WoWs on my non-default monitor, and then web browser, music, chat, on the other monitor. I make my main WoW about 4x bigger than my alt WoWs. So it looks really, really nice. Pwnboxer will do this by default I believe on the 5box setup.

Yea definitely use one computer, then use the "Fast Game Switching" of Pwnboxer, it lets you swap between any of your guys as the "main". Makes it super easy. 3x WoWs on a single monitor is super easy, looks great too. Or use 2 monitors. Or 3 or 4, whatever heh!

So yup, just copy your WoW folder. Nothing else is needed. Just created a directory, maybe WoW2\ and put it in there.

Edit: Bed time for me, will check the post in the morning, Gluck!

Most boxers will run with a single video card.

When you're boxing, you will be running the games in either windowed mode or fullscreen - windowed mode, but not in straight fullscreen.
Which means SLI and Crossfire won't benefit you, and in the majority of cases are actually slightly worse than not using those features.

A single card, with two GPU's on the board... in general is not a good choice.
Because of the way it acts as if it were in SLI/Crossfire automatically.

Essentially, if you have enough ports on your single card to support the monitors that you want to use, then go with one card.
If you want more monitors than you have ports... add additional cards to your system.

If you use multiple video cards, try to use a window layout that keeps the warcraft windows on the monitor they were started in.
If you physically have a Warcraft starting on Monitor 1, which is plugged into Video Card 1, and move (through swapping) to have that toon on Monitor 2 (which is plugged into a different video card), you'll notice a significant decrease in performance while the game is on the wrong monitor/card.

The other consideration for a video card is the amount of Ram on the card.
If you want to run in DX 11, you'll want a card with more than 1.25GB of ram; if your card is 1GB or lower, you'll need to run DX 9 or suffer a significant performance hit.
In general, DX 11 is smoother and better looking, if your card has enough ram.

If you go for a new system, probably go the Nvidia route. It supports SLI windowed mode games a bit better than ATI.
