Default Help test the sound feature in PB

Hey guys,

Could a few of you please set up your Pwnboxer to allow sound in 1x WoW, but disable in the other WoWs, and see if it works?

I'm getting mixed results and just wondering what other people see.

Thanks

Some immediate feedback for you. I run sound on for my main & sound off for the rest of the team and mousing over the various secondary toons (games 2-5) produces no sound. Mousing back over games 1 & the sound comes back on immediately.

This remains true even when I've fast switched a different toon into the game 1 screen position.

I can provide detail of my config if necessary.

EDIT: One additional feature that might be relevant. I no longer use a single, shared WoW directory but instead I have each game running in (mostly) its own directory. This is particularly true as for WTF/config.wtf as running a single version of that file previously would regularly screw up my solo (i.e. not under pwnboxer) play as the pwnboxer settings would still be in that file. Maybe the ppl who are having issues are sharing their WTF/config.wtf between accounts and that's causing them problems.

Yes. But I'm not sure that was true before I changed my WoW configuration

I've been noticing the sound getting turned back on, in my games. I've had to go in and turn it off several times. Don't know if this is what you are talking about, but it is sound related.

I actually meant to mention this. After making the above posts, I too have seen this but can't remember what triggered it.

Could you do me a favor? If you notice sound is being triggered when PB says it should be off, do this:

Keep everything running as-is.
Locate your last loading WoW window (eg, game #5 typically)
Go into its specific Config.wtf (or the global one if you are using 1 install of WoW).
Open up the Config.wtf and look for the disable sound entry.

Does it exist? Please paste it in this thread. I don't remember the exact fields atm, but I believe there are 7? Music On, Sound On, Music and Sound levels, Background sounds, and music channels.

I think somewhere I might have made a typo and I'm trying to track it down, but nobody seems to notice this except me, so maybe I didn't, not sure

There is only Sound on/off option? No separate "music on/off"? I play with sound on, but I really hate in-game music so I need to turn it off manually because it keeps turning on when game is started via PB.

I have started to play without music too, but every time I use Pwnboxer it turns my music back on

I have a new build I will be releasing probably today or tomorrow, I'm just doing a lot of testing in-game first. It specifically has the sound options in PB changed a bit for WoW.
