Default Feature Requests for Stream Discussion

Thoughts: Special JTV broadcast dedicated to addressing Pwnboxer feature suggestions

(per the above thread)

Tim is going to try and do a feature request Q+A stream possibly sometime this weekend (see linked thread of eventual date/time).

LL thought it would be a good idea to have a singular place for everyone who can/can't make the stream to be able to post their ideas for discussion in this specific medium.

I will start things off:

1) Make an option available to either make the titlebar of the dockable clickmapping bars "click-throughable" or to hide the titlebar of them all together (just the title, not the whole bar which IS available). Because of the grouping of my dock bars, I tend to accidentally click on the title portion, which causes my WoW window to lose focus which can be kinda annoying in the middle of a boss fight.

2) Be able to give the "titles" of the Dockable Clickmapping bars names other than "Dockable Clickmapping #1-XX". This would facilitate better organization. I forget which ones are which and I usually have to click through a couple of them before I find the one I want to add buttons to.

I have a new one - although you can consider this a bump for all my previous ones as well.

I'd like to be able to optionally associate a game target with an entry in a dockable click map, i.e. when clicking the button the key sequesnce is only sent to one game, much like the key remapping feature. This would save me a ton of mappings and window swapping for one off things like creating & using soulstones on my lock.

Could you explain this in greater step by step detail? I think this feature would be nice, but I don't understand your problem.

Currently, any clickable area sends key strokes to all games; it's essentially a graphical version of key broadcasting.

I would like to be able to (optionally) select which game each area sends it's keystrokes to: either per button or at the very least per area. That way I could have different toons using the same key strokes for rarely used tasks, e.g. create a soulstone, revive a pet, open a portal, without having to worry about accidentally triggering something on another toon.

tl;dr - If dockable maps today are the graphical equivalent of key broadcasting, I want the graphical equivalent of key remapping.

You can change the dockable clickmapping to not be all games if you'd like, just set up the specific key in the key remapping. Make it go to a blank/null/useless key on the particular game window you don't want it to go to.

That prevents me from re-using the key sequence on multiple toons, or requires explosive growth in my key sequence usage on my main. It also won't play well with quick-swapping games, and runs the risk of running into the same issue I mentioned here with unexpected pass-throughs, or major bindings-cache.wtf editing to ensure that key sequences are explicitly ignored.

You already have the logic in place to send events to select games only. I'm just looking for the ability to use it graphically.

I would like my last loaded profile to load automatically when I start PB and for the add popup to not appear. If this is already there I'm missing it. Thanks again for awesome tool.

There is no advertising popup in Pwnboxer, and your last Pwnboxer configuration is always loaded when you restart Pwnboxer.

I'm not sure I understand. If you have a dockable clickmapping pointing to say, CTRL+5, and you only want that to go to game 1,2,3, but not 4,5, why not just use the key remapping to set specifically what you are looking to do? It takes just a few moments to make that specific key not register on any window but 1,2,3.
