fast game switching and macros to set focus

im suffering the same issues. fast screen switch isnt working neither is mouse focus (correctly)

ie. f1,f2,f3,f4 to swap between screens.

ill swap to f2, then press f3, but f3 will not become the main screen, it swaps screens with f1 in its original place

maybe the taskbar? cant get rid of it :|

The problem (or feature) is the windows switching is a 2way:
(fast switching keys f1 main -f2slave)

pressing f2 will
main (focus) --> slave

pressing f2 again
slave (focus) --> main


Is there a way to make this more of a one way [bring to front] instead of switching?

pressing f2
main (focus) --> slave

pressing f2 again
slave (focus) --- [nothing happens but keybroadcasting since it's target in focus]

I am having the exact same problem, I just started playing with my team again, had to reset everything.

I could have sworn the I was broadcasting the Fast Game switch key last time I was doing this (but could be wrong) but as mentioned its not working unfortunately with the current version

I tried multiple keys with no change.

If I set a key to fast game switch and turn on that feature that key is not broadcast any longer. If I turn fast game switch back off it does get broadcast.

Any possibility of a fix or work around for this? other than using more keys?

have to echo this, why isnt it possible to assign f1-f5 as fast game switch, and also have f1-f5 for macros to change your group focus? to save having to push f1, then your focus key everytime?

I did this actually on purpose due to the reason I said above, and that is, if the WoW server lags while your fast game switch button is pressed, all of your guys won't be correctly targetting or focused from your main.


Can I suggest something instead?

Use your F keys for the fast game switch just like how you are now (eg F1, F2, F3, F4, F5).

Then for your refocus macro, which can (and should) be button mashed, use shift+F key (eg, Shift+F1, Shift+F2, Shift+F3, Shift+F4, Shift+F5).

Then you could hit F1 and then spam the refocus key. That is what I do and it works really, really well.

Thanks for the idea Tim, ..... I am at a complete loss as to why that did not occur to me... And as you mentioned that method makes for more sense anyway. Next time I am on I'll make the change and give it a shot

I avoided alot of this stuff by swapping from pwnboxer to isboxer. With the latter, you just mouse click on which window you want to swap to and all the slaves automatically swap their follow / assist to whichever toon is on the main window. This suits my playstyle alot better.

Pfft who wants to click on windows? lol If your running 5 on one monitor (which despite having a combined 117" of screen area to work with I often do) You probably have to have some of them set so small you can not tell which window is which sometimes. Not to mention I want to have the "leader" in the "main" window.
