I am a dual boxer and having a major problem with pwnboxer. It has worked fine from my date of purchase almost a year ago right up to two days ago. I logged in to a toon then out just as she displayed. this resulted in her becoming stuck. I had to have Bliz unstick her. Since that time if I try to load my games using pwnboxer I get to the character select screens fine, if I try to adjust the video settings on any window that window becomes lost to pwnboxer control (ie no key broadcasting or abililty to shut the window down via pwnboxer), once I try to enter the world the screen/game window goes either black or a strange unintelligable graphical mess. If the game "window" is in windowed mode a simple minimize/maximize refereshes the graphics and it continues loading fine most times. Sometimes it will hang and fail to load window two and even get the character stuck, especially if window one is already logged into the game world. If the "window" is in a fullscreen mode or if the windowed game hangs nothing can clear the graphics mess save for a hard kill of the affected game with Windows Task Manager. I have done all the regular things to fix WoW ie cache, wtf, interface folder deletes, run repair etc. I have even done a fresh install of WoW. I have upgraded and down graded my graphics driver, tryed both versions of pwnboxer - 206(the one I had been using) and 215. I have run WoW and pwnboxer with and without addons all to no avail. WoW does run fine, with no graphical problems at all, if I run the two instances of the WoW client without pwnboxer. I am running an AMD Athlon 64X2 3800+ with 3 gigs of RAM on a windows XP home box with a nVidia 7600gs graphics card and dual 17in fp montinors. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions they would be greatly appretiated. Cheers Last edited by Nytling; 01-22-2011 at 08:58 AM.

Just to verify, you can load 'x' clients fine without Pwnboxer? If you can load the games without pwnboxer, then your issue is probably boxing software related and Tim or another more knowledgeable user will get you fixed up. If the issue is a warcraft game, or something else on your system then it is a little harder to diagnose or find. I've seen Tim recommend people download another copy of Pwnboxer and install it to another directory, but am not sure really if your copy has become corrupt or something. Kind of hard to troubleshoot a product I've never used.

Aye. I confirmed it bfr this reply. Right now I have 3 copies of WoW running with 3 different toons on the same realm with zero graphical problems. One running on left monitor one on the right and one half in each monitor. I had tried PB again just bfr this test and had the same graphical glitching reported in my post

**UPDATE** I have tried to box with another program and the graphic glitch as mentioned above has abated. Also of note I am RaF'ing with one Cata account and a basic account on one Bnet account. The toon that kept sticking is on the basic account and is still doing so if I try to login to north Felwood or RaF port to north Felwood or Winterspring near Timbermaw Hold. In talks with a GM I have learned that basic accounts such as the one that keeps sticking are having an issue with disconecting in Desolace and Felwood that they are aware of and trying to fix and this is highly likely the cause of the recent sticking issues. When I RaF'd a Troll Druid last week on this same basic/Cata account combo through Un'Goro/Silitius I had no issues at all He also noted that there is a "minor" graphical issue with some textures that are from later expansions are not loading in clients running basic WoW. I did a test for myself and saw this by testing different mounts in front of my basic account with one of my Cata accounts and noted a wyvern that displayed as a solid green model with no texturing. Both issues are apparently client side from what the GM has said to me and are being looked into. I can definately say the sticking is purely a WoW/Blizzard issue. Seeing as when using this other boxing software though the graphics issue I described doesnt show maybe something in the way PB attempts to change the graphics settings of the game when it loads them is exacerbating the graphics flaw in the client the GM mentioned? *shrugs* I can't say as I'm no programmer and don't presume to understand the interactions of PB and the WoW client. I really enjoyed using PB and hope there is something, short of Bliz getting their finger out, that can be done so I can resume happily using it. ^^ Cheers

Hopefully Tim, or someone who knows more of the workings of PB will jump into this thread. Basically just bumping this, for visibility.

So a game keeps on freezing? Check your addons. For example, do not use Recount. PB doesn't really do anything WoW related, and every cause of WoW freezing has been narrowed down to a specific addon.
