Anybody video recording with Pwnboxer yet? - Multiboxing in World of Warcraft and Beyond!

So one of the features of Pwnboxer is the ability to use any codec and record video on your desktop, built directly into Pwnboxer.

I'm just curious, is anybody using this yet? If so, what codec are you using? Since windows doesn't really come with any, do you guys know of any free codec install programs I could include into the Pwnboxer zip file?

could not find a codec that worked when i did it crashed pwnboxer so i moved back to fraps

I get this error message when I try to use the video capture feature.

Error in create_avi_file()
AVIStreamSetFormat error.

Tried a few codecs, set PB to run as admin. Few different file paths. Nada.

I tried using the DivX codec but pwnboxer crashes every time I try and use it.

I went back to Fraps as well.

I would love to use a pwnboxer live broadcast feature, but I have yet to see that :-P

Hey guys, when this feature was added I was testing a lot using some ktlite codecs to record with.

Maybe I need to do some tests and link to a good codec to use with Pwnboxer?

DivX is a pretty standard AVI codec. You could also try and use a YouTube flv codec.

Out of curiosity, does it record just the main frame, or the entire window including the slave windows etc?

It actually has both, you can record an entire window, or an area you define.

I'm searching for some codecs now that I used to test on. It was really flawless back when I used it on my Vista 64, but my Windows 7 system doesn't have any codecs.

Overall, it works really nice once you find the right codec since Pwnboxer works with any video codec.
