Default SSD wont detect in bios or in win 7

/cough, a bit offtopic but here goes or nothing..

I got the "Asus rampage 3 extreme" motherboard. I got 2 older ssd which are sata 2, those show up fine... the thing is i got some Ocz agility 3 and a Vertex 3 ssd that doesnt get detected at all :/ These are sata 3. I dont expect to run all on the higher speed, thats not my concern. Just need them to show up so i can format them. Maybe if lucky i could make a raid 10 with the agility drives, or something like that.

Been troubleshooting a lot on this, for daaays, still nothing. So a little break is healthy..

I read something about how the ocz drives have had some issues and that maybe i needed a firmware update. Tried that but it wont even show up in that utility.

Ofc tried all thinkable settings in the bios, to no avail till now.

Any insight welcome.

Make sure you flash your bios to the most recent. My brothers PC was the same way. Oh, and use AHCI.

(solved)

ah forgot to reply on this old topic, i solved it by installing the latest achi drivers and then connected one drive into sata port 1 (with achi enabled), then i connected my win7 ssd too, booted up into windows and then rightclicked "my computer" and in there the ssd was detected. I then made a quick format of it and lastly updated the firmware using OCZToolbox_v2_37. Job done.
