| Senior Member | Just got my Intel 40GB SSD Connected it to my current system {running Vista} so i could start copying wow over Its recognised in the bios and is in the device manager, but its not in My Computer When i click on properties in the device manager it says Status - Not Initialised Any ideas what the problem is, as i cant access it |

| Senior Member | may have figured it, but am not at home to test it, im guessing right click my computer > manage > if its there it may not be assigned a letter AKA it not showing in my computer |

| you need to format it, then give it a drive letter. go to control panel > system and security > administrative tools > computer management > disk mangement find the drive, right-click and choose format, then assign it a drive letter this is how I did my intel SSD |
