Default Question:

When I buy the i7 930, a newer video card, ddr3 ram (8 gb) and a 850 watt power, should i get a new case, or use the one i have? I was wondering with all these upgrades, i was asking if any case would support these components -- air flow, etc..

I dont plan on broadcasting any stream, but multiboxing w/out any or little lag compared to what i am doing now. Do these items listed above require more fans, air, etc. Kind of prelude heads up before i invest.

Default Re: Question:

What are your current system specs?

Personally, I like my case, Silverstone SG-01 (mATX).

When I build a new system, I will be using the case again unless I go water cooled or some such.

I run:
PSU: Silverstone 850W
Video: EVGA GTX260
CPU: Q6600
HD: 320GB WD 7200 RPM HD
SSD: 30GB OCZ SSD
RAM: 4GB Kingston HyperX @ 1066 (5-5-5-15)
OS: Vista-32

CPU Cooler: Newegg.com - SILVERSTONE NT06-LITE CPU Cooler
Case: Case Link: Newegg.com - SILVERSTONE SG01-BW Black Aluminum MicroATX Desktop Computer Case

Upgrade step 1:
GTX465
1.5TB WD 7200 RPM HD
Second 30GB OCZ SSD (raid 0)
Windows 7 Ult64

Upgrade step 2:
EVGA mATX 1366 socket Mboard
12gb of DDR3 @ 1600
i7-930
2x WD 2.5" 7200 rpm 320gb drive (main OS drives to be run in Raid-0)
2x OCZ 30GB SSD's (4xSSD Raid-0)

That's the plan as I see it for myself. I don't overclock any of my gear.

I take the approach of looking at my bottle necks and determining what my best upgrade paths are.

My current bottle neck is that I my HDD's are getting hammered when I am on a Flight Path and my current video card is 10.5" which means I am running my system without a HDD cage currently.

I have a raidmax case, and was wondering if it would be sufficient to handle the potential upgrades I want to do.

The Antec 1200 is one helluva good looking case. I have had the 900, 900 Two, and the 300, all of them were awesome.
