I do have a computer with 2g ram AMD 64 X2 4200 and 256mb grahpic card. I may upgrade ram to 8gb. Is this enough? Please dont post the best of the best hardware since i need to have money to buy something better:P thanks |

| Super Moderator | You will definitely want to upgrade your RAM. Your graphics card might be okay with everything on low and you may want to consider upgrading your CPU to a quad core. I'm not sure a dual core would be able to handle 5 WoWs that well.

| I would suggest upgraded the processor as well. Higher-end dual-cores can handle it, but thats not a higher-end dual-core. RAM is a must-upgrade if you want to 5-box. 4 GB at the minimum, but the more the better. The graphics card isn't as important. WoW is a CPU intensive game as opposed to a graphics intensive game. What you can upgrade the CPU to is dependent on what motherboard you have. You can look up your motherboard model and the manufacturer's site should give you a list of supported CPUs. If you're running on a Socket 939, you're somewhat limited and you probably can only upgrade to a 4800ish. If you're running on a Socket AM2, you can slap a nice 6000+ in there and you're good to go. Just make sure your motherboard model supports it.

| You can probably run with a bit less then this, but I would suggest as a minimum for 5 clients: Quad Core processor. 6 GB of ram. Video card that was "new" less then 3 years ago. Low-end SSD, a 30gb drive purely for the gaming folder is an enormous boost. You definitely won't "need" this to box, but... If you were upgrading to a new system, I'd suggest. x58 based motherboard. i7 920 processor. Half decent video card. 9/12GB of DDR3 ram. Low end SSD. |
