Somebody posts one of the highest end systems you can buy and then asks if it will last a while?

If anything you would be upgrading GPUs first, or better yet, Crossfiring in another one.

As far as I know, all i5 i7 boards are triple channel. Core 2s were dual channel. Check this too.
Triple Channel
This is only true to the 1366 socket motherboard and CPU.

Dual Channel
The 1156 socket motherboard and CPUs are dual channel, this includes the quad core i5, 2 or 3 low end quad core i7s. Also the CPUs on 1156 socket DO NOT have hyper-threading.

The only advantage to Triple Channel is More Ram, or that's all I see it is good for so far. There really hasn't been any breakthrough for speeds vs. Dual Channel.

Oh and everything will last you along time for this build, you are grabbing top of the line here and I don't see any more improvements in gaming to the hardware you have picked out.

I was thinking about buying two of the 4GB 5970's but i'm pretty sure 1 will do for now. Plus I'm pretty sure ATi will release something better soon enough.

Ok, before anybody else post anything on this, I was wrong there are 1156 Core i7 CPUs with Hyper-threading ability, they just need to be unlocked CPUs. Unlocked means that you are most likely to over-clock the baby and along with the hyper-threading thing too.

Core i5 vs. Core i7: Differences Between Intel's i5 and i7 Processors

Hardware posts like these are really helpful so "spam" away all you want.

Who knows, maybe I'll read one and learn how to properly use my 5870s in Crossfire
