Default Finally made a decision:

I dropped the money down and bought a computer that was within my price range and still much better than my own.

While I know its not the best out there, I just wanted a quick upgrade.

Affinity 7125Mi desktop
3.1GHz Intel Core i3-2100 processor
Intel H67 Express chipset
12GB DDR3 memory
1TB SATA II hard drive
22X DVD+/-RW optical drive
ATI Radeon HD 5450 graphics with 1GB VRAM
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit

I appreciate the past help and just wanted to post on what I finally decided on.

Still awaiting for it to arrive, which I plan for by Wednesday/Thursday.

What was your boxing setup before? And, how much better is your system now than before? Can you really quantify it?

Apparently the Graphics card in the new setup sucks balls and the i3 in the computer I decided on isn't that great. So I failed on my choice >.>

I lose the shipping cost, but I guess it gives more time to think about it.

Meh I want a great computer but I don't want to **** around with physically building it, thats not my forte. At the same time I don't want to fund a small country with the cost of a premade one....totally stuck now.

$900-$1200 is the approx range. I've gone to all the sites... but then I get so jumbled with numbers, I start to get unrealistic on what I want/need.

Dream: a machine that could 5 box all on ultra settings in places like major cities and large battlegrounds with minimal clientside issues.

Reality: a machine that could 5 box on normal settings in places like major cities and large battlegrounds without crashing.

Now with my money tied up in the current machine and not knowing when it will get here so I can send it back, I don't know when I will have all my funds back in order so I can get a decent computer.

All in all, I jumped to a decision because I assumed the computer was decent for what I wanted to use it for. Nearly a year of wanting to get one and finally having both the means and the desire to sit down and make a decision. Just irks me that I made an error.

Just feel like I've wasted the past year on all the ways I thought I could achieve this goal and then to find an endgame and be handed how stupid I could really be is humbling to say the least.

You can build my computer and still be within your budget

i7-950
nVidia GTX 460
6 GB RAM
ASUS Sabertooth X58
850w PSU

Not sure how well it could 5-box. I'd imagine it would be pretty decent

That would five box well.

Better processor and video card than mine.
Less ram, but plenty for 5-boxing.
Power supply is fine.

You'd want a 64-bit version of Win7.
And basics like dvd-rom, keyboard, mouse etc.
The motherboard will have an onboard network card.

I think I am going to give up the fantasy of actually 5 boxing. I don't have the kind of cash to get a proper system for the job. And all the get cash quick ideas I've had and dealt with, all i ended up with was wasted time and effort for absolutely zero in return. I think this debacle is showing me maybe I need to move on from PC gaming, as its just too rich for my blood.

I thank you all for your help and research.
