Default Experts in memory problem!

Well.. finally I upgrade my computer memory but now 2 or 3 wow windows crash after a minute or two.. also my main window I see "graphical error" like stretched textures..

Any know if this is can be caused by the memory? Also I turned on the /3G switch to make window xp use 3G instead of 2.5 ...

Any ideas?

EDIT: New question.. I'm using CPU-Z to view info on my system, and in the memory section it shows Slot #1 (old memory), Slot #2 (old memory), Slot #3 (empty), Slot #4 (NEW memory).. Should I move the new memory to the slot #3? Or it doesn't make any difference?

UPDATE: The /3G is a big NO NO in my system.. I turned it off, and no more crashes or weird graphical problems.. oh well..

Shouldn't your memory be installed in pairs? (i.e. needing something identical to slot #4 in slot #4)

I have a Asus AN832SLI Deluxe. And for the memory I used the newegg's "finding tool" for my motherboard.. And just in case my processor is an AMD Athlon FX 60 (probably I will start a easy overclock like this one AMD FX-60 Overclocking on Stock Heatsink and Voltage : AMD Processor Forum - Page 2 )

Window xp detected the memory, in the system properties it show that I have 3GB (I had 2 before).. and in the windows task manager the physical memory is 3144924 K.. So it is working, but probably only 2.5gb it is in use..

Well, your memory should be paired up where possible. Slots 1 & 3 should be the same type/size and slots 2 & 4 should match. Typically, the slot 'pairs' on the board will be colored the same (blue to blue, black to black).

If you meant 2x512mb vs. the 1x1gb then yes
