Finally after a few months of owning my gtx480 SC's I have completed my water cooling setup. And it is sweet, love the idle and load temps I get now. And gives me alot more head room to overclock them some moar . Just wish I had a better cpu now, the i7 920 overclocked to 4ghz is being pushed to its limits even using the Corsair H50 cpu cooler it still breaks 80c easily under full load. Heres some pics ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Holy crap, well I have a lot of questions since I'm going to be doing this as well! But my first question since I'm really tired right now... ... What are you doing to stop your 480's PCB from warping/splitting under the heavy weight and drag of the cooling blocks and tubing? I've heard that even a couple months with that load on it will crack the boards due to the weight unless you put in some counterpressures to offset the weight. ... Could you list a materials list for all the blocks/tubes/clips/etc you use? ... Are you doing a single stage/radiator/pump system? With the 480s it is extremely recommended you have 1 pool/pump/loop/radiator for the 480s, and another for everything else. ... DETAILS!!

Heres a quick list of what I used, will put links in later as its almost 1:30am and I have to be at work at 6am lol. The List: 2x DD-GTX480 Satin Copper Version - Blocks 1x DD12V-D5 Pump Variable Speed by Laing 1x Black Ice GTX360 8x 1/2" Acid Green UV DD-TFC Tubing (8x = 8ft) 1x XSPC Acrylic Dual 5.25” Reservoir for one Laing D5 / MCP655 3x Scythe DFS123812-3000 "ULTRA KAZE" 120 x 38 mm 1x Scythe KQ01-BK-3.5 "KAZE Q" Fan Controller (Realized its a 3.5" bay and the 800D doesn't have one lol, will probably find a way to mount it inside the case.) 1x Silver KillCoils by iandh (Iandh's KillCoils are approximately 1.3g of pure anti-algae/antimicrobial ass kickery in the form of 0.999 fine silver!) 1x Distilled Water 1x Feser View - Active UV Dye - GREEN Fittings I ordered: 4x Bitspower G 1/4 Matte Black 1/2in. ID Barb - BP-MBWP-C01 1x Bitspower BP-CLTAC-S2 Crystal Link Tube Set For 2-Slots (its the small sli bridge between the two blocks, the ones that come with the blocks are a pain to even install.) 6x Herbie Clip® Nylon Hose Clamp Size H - Black (havent put them on yet cause taking them back off is gonna be a pain. Not sure if they have a tool to remove these with cause its damn near impossible to do by hand) As far as the cards warping over time, im not sure but making a small mounting bracket to support the weight of the block could be easily done. Especially with all the room in this case. Ill update with links when I get back from work. Oh yea forgot to mention my new temps with the watercooling. -Before Idle was about 45-55c on each card with load temps at about 90-95c. -Now Idle temps are 32-33c with load temps maxing at 56-58c at fulload after 20mins of stability testing in furmark. And thats overclocked to 825/1650/2000, 825mhz graphics clock Last edited by CustomZ02; 07-22-2010 at 02:12 PM.

Im not sure, I dont have any way of measuring it. Im using a Cooler Master Real Power Pro 1000w and it handles both cards the cpu overclock, 6 HDDs, 2 burners, the pump, fans, and lights without any problems.

Updated List with links to all the parts. Compression fittings may be better than barbs. But the barbs work just fine.
