hmm not sure what to make of this, usually I can fix my computer woes quite easily. But here is the problem I 4-box and lately my cpu usage is running at 100% and each wow is using 1GB of memory and to top that off, network usage reports that each Wow is sending 6Mb of data in and 1.5Mb of data out. This does not make too much sense, I always heard that Wow does not utilize that much network reasources. anyway here is my system specs q6600 @2.4Ghz 8GB of Gskill memory (4x2048) intel GT pro network card gigabyte ep45-ud3r mainboard 2x2TB western digital caviar blacks 1x500 western digital caviar blue I think that is all you need. I checked for viruses, malware, etc, checked for heat problems and processor is running at 32celcius, checked for fragmented files and my c:\ is 10% framgmented will take care of that soon. Things I need to do when i get home: check for GPU temp, raise fan speed a little and defrag my hard drive so if you have any ideas, let me know. I am stumped with this, kind of hard to play when you are lagging as bad as I am due to processor @ 100%

You could run the wow repair utility. Not sure whether that would help but who knows. Also what programs were you scanning with?

As for geforce, im aware that Nvidia came out with a bad driver that has caused in-game issues for lots of people, but i REALLY doubt that has anything to do with your issue

off-topic,do you know what driver version that was? i have version 195.62 and this was a clean install of windows when I installed that driver. Just wondered ifi could get better FPS with an older driver, I hear the 180.xx drivers or something like that work well. hmm seemed there was a 5th unused wow.exe in my taskmanager that was hogging 20% of CPU. I closed it and my CPU went down to 80% for 4 Wows. this still seems al ittle high, shouldn't I be getting a 50% CPU load with the wows open and playing with my hardware? I really do not remember going over 65% when I was boxing and paid attention to my taskmanager.

Did some research and it's normal for WoW to be using 1GB (It can use up too 2GB depending on the settings) I would suggest: -Remove all of your addons temporarily see if it fixes it. -Lower all settings Then from there just slowly bring things back up and find out whats causing it.
