| Hey all, What do you think the best gaming rig could be that $1000 would buy (via Newegg or MWave)? Lets hear your ideas! |

| Super Moderator | Are you including OS, monitor, and optical drive? If not, the components I bought for my desktop from Newegg could prob be built for around $1000 (was $1150 about a year ago) i7-950 GTX 460 6 GB RAM Sabertooth X58 Mobo Antec 902 case EDIT: Kingwin Laser 850W PSU (thanks, Seth )The case can be switched out to something else, and the CPU downgraded a bit if needed. Might not be the BEST system for $1000, but it is a fairly powerful one IMO

| Never is a rather long time. From: The Wealthy Barber, remember to pay yourself first. If you take $$ per cheque off of your pay, and put it into savings... you'll find you still meet your bills each month. If you pay all your bills first, you won't have nearly as much $$ afterwards. There are other options as well. You could request an hour of overtime here or there, or get a short term part time job to supplement your income. It all depends on your priorities, and what is important to you. You don't necessarily need to buy it all at once, as a lump sum. You could break it into pieces too. Pick up the motherboard, then the cpu, etc. |

| Super Moderator | Never say never smith! As Ualaa said, there are quite a few ways to save up for something like a gaming computer. You don't need $1000 for an amazing computer. Just save a little bit if you can each month and put it towards some sort of gaming desktop.

| I highly suggest selling wow gold, LOL JK no but seriously you can rob a bank, steal it from a Wall street business man, or take up gambling, many people become rich off gambling! Nah best method is save what you make or take up a part time job. even an extra 400 dollars a month will pay for a new computer in 3 months, a decent one too. |

| Senior Member | I just do the math, even at the posiible $10/wk that I may be able to put aside... it would take way too long to even matter. I can almost guarantee that with the next expansion the graphics will bump again and at that point I may not even be able to play one account. I don't build computers so that parts solution is nullified. I refuse to learn by trial and error. Prebuilt or not at all in my book. And the fact is, prebuilts are just not cheap enough for the lower-middle class. Its a luxury item. And I understand it, just sucks. Anyways, I wasn't meaning my post to be a serious QQ. I guess I just am in a crappy mood when I realize the gaming future is grim for me. |

| Hmm Smith. I'm working on a new project very soon, rather than the prior arrangements we had, I could probably think of something that could toss a few bucks your way. Nothing big, in fact, its actually pretty small, but if its something you could use, $25 here $25 there, we could probably work something out. |
