Athlon II x4 - Multiboxing in World of Warcraft and Beyond!

I really want to do a broadcast in 720p but the dual core I have right now can not do this so I was wondering if this system could get me broadcasting 720p WoW...

AMD Athlon II X4 620 Propus 2.6GHz

4gb DDR3 1600 (2x2)

Sapphire 4670

I will most likely over clock the AMD but I really just want to know if I should get this processor or wait and get a phenom II

Ill be able to tell you for sure when I get my quadcore, but that isnt for a couple weeks at least.

Here is something to note: I was able to do 5x WoWs with 720p on my test system. My test system was Q9650 w/4G RAM. I put FME on core 3, WoW #1 on core #1, and 2 wows per remaining core. From what I recall, I was running with about 70% cpu, 30% free.

Worked like a champ.

Now I really have no idea what the Q9650 quad core processor equates in the AMD world, but hopefully this will help.

Well I will be running only 1 WoW so I would think it would work but I think id rather just spend an extra $30 for a phenom II dont know how much 4 WoWs would effect the Cpu

That would be a motherboard issue I believe. It has nothing to do with your CPU. What's your mobo?

I think it would work cus my mobo is AM2+ and i will update the Bios to support am3
