Anybody have a system with a Q9650 CPU?

Hey guys,

Do any of you have a PC that has an Intel Q9650 (quad core@3ghz) CPU that could test something for me?

Basically, run 1x WoW, turn graphics up to high (what gfx card do you have?) and run around in WoW. How is the performance?

I'm debating something and have a spare Q9650 system sitting around...

I do not have a Q9650 (would like one though :P) but a older Q6600 @3.0Ghz vid-1.3250 with a geforce gtx 260 core 216 card on stock. I am able to get 60 FPS ( i have it capped ingame) everywhere except in dalaran when it was crowded or in stormwind when a lot of peeps are on. When in SW/dalaran I hover around 40FPS with graphics on ultra..

I know you asked for someone with Q9650 but I hoped my info might help with your decision.

Could you do me a favor, post a screenshot of what your CPU is in task manager when you are in Dalaran, and another when you are in a non crowded area like some generic instance?

when the servers come back up I will. you just want 1 account logged in correct?
I'll post pics of task manager when in dalaran and stormwind when they get crowded with addons enabled and disabled

Yup just 1 account please I'm putting together a new system around these specs for somebody and just want to make sure all is good.

ok I just took some pics when in stormwind since it now hosts the most peeps. I have everything on ultra EXCEPT shadow and sunshafts with wow capped at 60FPS.

what exactly are you testing?

Building a machine for a friend that has a Q9650, was just curious how it handled Cata. I know it handles 5x WoW + Broadcasting to JTV just fine, but not how it would handle Cataclysm's new graphics and all that.
