I did some reading and reviewing of that processor, and it seems it just isn't up to par with Intel's CPU, not by a longshot. Read some of the reviews out there

Ya I already read the review and it will not be up to par with intel's i9s, but will be better than most of the current i7's except for that extreme that is laying around. But the true benefit why this processor benefits is that AMD users can upgrade without changing motherboards and spending loads of money for CPU conversion, etc. I believe AMD is the best buget gamer processor out there, Intel is just to full themselves. I like Intel products but they like to over charge to much, but I guess they got to pay those stinkin' Engineers and CEOs

I have found for the last few years maybe 15, that if I upgrade then its a complete new setup except for perhaps monitors and such. So the upshot is everything in the box and the box itself gets scrapped and a new box in its place. So upgrading is not as much of an issue. What happens is the pins get changed or the die or the memory wot work ... and the list goes on. I have been buying computers for the last 30 years and have upgraded only a few times and those were the early days. Even now I could buy some extra memory and a new quad cpu but it would cost 300 or so just for that. So every couple of years i just buy a new box. My latest is a quandry because I have about 1000 bucks to spend this time. The oil exploration company just renewed the lease on my land for another two years.
