| Liking the idea of having a seperate monitor for each toon when 5-boxing. When I update my rig to an i7 platform with a triple SLi/Crossfire mobo, if I install 3 graphics cards do they all have to be the same if i'm not linking them? i.e. a HD5850 as main gpu and 2xHD4850 or 9600gt's for the other displays? Or would I need to get 3 identical cards? Thanks in advance |

| Senior Member | If they arnt being linked they can be different, if they are being linked then they NEED to be the same... in some rare cases 2 different cards can be compatible in SLI, however it is never a sure bet and the only way its near guranteed is if they are the same card....

| But WoW doesn't scale very well with linked cards does it? So purely for WoW would I be better with 3 linked HD4850's or 2 HD4850's and 1 HD5850 all unlinked? |

| I think 2 monitors fo WOW is sufficient for a group of 5. Would like my second monitor to be bigger though. I just cant pay attention to more than one monitor anyways. Im just 2 boxing and my slave seems to get killed a lot because I have trouble with 2. |
