| Senior Member | So guise i found a 3rd monitor today, meaning now i have 2 20" monitors and a 24" monitor, BUT i have one graphics card!!! :O:!O!! Do i have to go in the way of the [s]JEDI[/s] SLI or is there any other way i can connect it and be treated as a seperate monitor, like my 2 current monitors on my current card, or would it be too much strain on the GPU ? whats the best way to go about connecting up this 3rd monitor? Code: Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7GHz Memory: 4096MB RAM Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 Mobo: MSI P55-CD53 Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard not SLI compatible, will need a mobo upgrade too if i was to go sli... | Your best bet is to get a second monitor and a cheap card and use that one just for web browsing and such. If you want to game, then get a gaming quality card. |

| from what I understand from nvidia's 3d vision surround and ati's eyenfinity technology, you need to have 3 monitors with the same refresh rate and resolution to take advantage of a 3rd monitor. I am not sure if you can have 3 different screens when using these features. I think the best bet is either getting a new motherboard with 2xpci-e slots and get another card or buy some sort of hardware display device like triplehead2go from Matrox Graphics - Home keeping in mind that the triplehead hardware has limitations on running 3d applications and certain resolutions. |
