| I 10 box on one PC! I don't know about the others but my specs are: :Core 2 Quad 6600 :22" Dell Monitor :8 GB of cheap ass generic memory :9800 gx2 1GB 512-bit gddr3 :using hkn :using Process Lasso to control CPU hogging of WoW processes(vsync is off in WoW; on main maxFPS = 16, maxFPSbk = 8; on slaves maxFPS = 9, maxFPSbk = 8, all WoWs on lowest setting/config.wtf modded and set to read-only) :Xtreme-G Nvidia Drivers :all screen resolutions are scaled to 4:3 and not widescreen. :using only the most basic and essential addOns [functionality over eye-candy] :lowest FPS i could get is 6-7 and that is only when I am on Dalaran so lately I tried to avoid this cursive city and just logon with 5 each time. Otherwise, i get all the FPS i set on my WoW windows with no problem. This is no BS. Hence, I see no reason to upgrade to i7. The most defining thing I did in my setup in order to run all 10-in-1 is using Process Lasso. My brother 5 boxes too on a crappy Duo Core with 6800GS AGP and 3 GB of memory with no problems. Of course, others mileage might vary. I am just saying you can box on crappy systems too like I do. |

| The biggest thing on >10 boxing on this 1 PC is this: #1 RAM, #2 HD For that setup you should get a SSD for WoW or get 2x HD, 100% dedicated to WoW, and split the games between each. To put it in perspective. On my system, which is close to what you've said, I can run 10x WoWs, all doing huge things like Dalaran, or AV, and I do not hit 30% cpu. |
