Just in case anyone is not aware and has been trying to find us on blackrock the guild was recently stolen last week and appears to have had a name change this week to attempt to hide the guild.

The current guild GM is Deadway who isn't someone i know or recall but has hijacked the guild and kicked everyone out. Fortunately this veiled attempt at subterfuge has failed because all of my alts still show as members of the guild in my battle.net account.

I don't particularly want to loose all of my hard earned guild reputation because of this so i hope someone looks into this quickly before it's too late. The guild bank also contained nearly possibly 10,000 gold which has also probably been stolen along with the guild aswell.

The guild leader role was auto transferred to someone for unknown reasons and then everyone was kicked out of the guild. This is supposedly being looked into

For everyone that worked in your spare time over the past two or three years to make the guild into what it had become you should feel obligated to have it restored to it's rightful owner

If the guild leader has not logged in for (I believe its 3 months), then the highest ranked member who has logged in within 3 months...

Example
Rank 0: Leader
Rank 1: Officer, Officer, Officer
Rank 2: Senior Member, Senior Member
Rank 3: Member, Member
Rank 4: Junior Members...

If no one in ranks 0-3 have logged in, in 3 months... then anyone in rank 4 has the option to become the leader.
If two members in Rank 3 had been on, within those three months.. then they would both have the option to assume the guild leadership.
A given rank only has that option, when no one of a higher rank has been on for over 3 months.

Basically, if you own a guild and aren't going to be online for a period of time...
The only safe approach is to boot everyone but your alts from the guild.
Otherwise, you can lose the guild...
This was put in, for those raiding guilds whose leader goes missing but the guild wants to continue.

Well then, they probably didn't do it via the automated promote someone to guild leader functionality.
That was my first thought.

Not sure whats happened but since i posted this on thursday that guild has vanished off battle.net and the named offender isn't in the guild any longer.

Oddly though one day last week i could swear i saw a ton of level 1 alts in the guild. From previous experience from the one time my account was hacked gold sellers will usually create lvl 1 alts on compromised accounts to use as bank mules.

If chamassa's account wasn't up next for autopromote and my mage which has a higher rank didn't receive it then perhaps one of Tim's accounts was compromised.

Either way it's seems possible I uncovered one of Blackrock's gold selling operations setting up a money laundering hub using our stolen guild. Nice to see some reward from clicking that report spammer button for three or four years.

The only unanswered questions left is where did the guild go to since Thursday because my battle.net still shows that illegitimate thugs guild as my character's build names and when can we get a re-invited if a guild recovery inquiry has been looked into?

Yeah Xartin contacted me on blackrock asking what happened to the guild, i have no clue, btw, blizz can restore the guild, i'm pretty sure.

If this cant be undone, you guys are welcome to join my guild, always warm there, and i'm online everyday for good good hours, going for rank 14.

What do you think blizz will do once the investigation is done? Ban the people who did this? restore the gold and guild banks, tabs, etc?

Considering Tim does talk to Blizz frequently, I bet this is resolved quickly. Has anyone on blackrock who was in the guild talk to the new guild members, etc?
