I was watching tonight and this got serious... almost 3,000 viewers

I'm sure it's just a coincidence that two weeks after I left a humble private request in Swifty's youtube channel to open a JTV stream his entire guild decided to open a live stream channel

While I'm definitely not taking any credit for decisions or could truthfully claim i was involved however I did link Tim's live stream in the message along with the FME guide for JTV so if those were useful I'm definitely thankful they went for it

Yea they get a ton of viewers, I'm really curious though, that is a ton, beats my record of 2800 live viewers. Where did they all come from?

Swifty has a LOT of wow fans.. he's supposedly the same guy that played the most dominant pvp fury warrior in vanilla. when he was on the stream last weekend they had around 5000 live viewers

You might recall the guy in vanilla that was single handedly responsable for more class nerfs and figured out more creative ways to utilize available game mechanics like glowing hands than any other player in the history of world of warcraft.

Things got so out of control from his fans creating characters on darkspear and spamming it crashed the servers for several hours last weekend and blizzard banned him for a day. it was supposed to be a permanent ban but after the pvp fans went ballistic crashing wow servers over half the game realms for several days the gm's i'm sure had second thoughts as it wasn't Swifty's intention to cause such a massive disruption.

Aside from just swifty his guild mates are exceptionally well known as some of the best players around in they're character classes like Fiveshot Nexius and mercayder who recently won a duel for 20,000 gold against a blood death knight.

Yeah I wonder how many people moved to alliance server. He is planing to org, if that happens server will crash again, Blizzard had no choicce but unban him, I have toons on several servers, pvp people were spaming "unban swifty" it was crazy.

Am I the only person who doesn't know who Swifty is, or Athene, or Dara Mactire? These people have Youtube channels (I know Athene does, the TTTT guy).

Athene, back in the day started the youtube channel, just basicly showing his skill but alot of trolling, yes he did hit above 2k rating, he started with his friend furious, and his GF , than Athene decided to open his own chanel so his gf and furious, Swifty basicly arms warrior, went thru every detail on his warrior and always coming up with best rotation and macros, for warriors, hes pretty good!, he only plays warrior i believe since vanilla. He gets alof of stuff from Razer and giving it away, doing cotests, etc....he goes live as well, he created RAF account with athene and plays on EU server, they both hit 85 not too long ago. ALOT of people watching him

I didn't know of Swifty perhaps until a couple months after I started playing world of warcraft when TBC launched. I was doing some class research and several threads kept coming up about Swifty macros, Swifty pvp ect.. after I found some of his videos on youtube all the uncertainty about warrior viability and survivability vanished in 10 minutes.

Swifty is likely the contributing reason a LOT of people myself included were so passionate about playing the warrior class. I'll never have a chance to play vanilla which is sad but some of the people that did really showed the newer players how to do things outside the box.

In Vanilla before cross server battlegrounds you had to have some insane stamina and skill to keep your pvp rank if you were Grand Marshall or High Warlord because you were essentially a marked man.

Accoriding to Swifty he defeated 11 of the top pvp players on Darkspear pre TBC including several Grand marshals pretty much cementing his reputation as a top pvp competitor.

yes, thats how he got big! yep in vanilla i was rank 10, 2 ranks away from high warlord, to get highwarlord title was NUTS give everything you got and grind bg's like crazy! to get good rating thats how you get new rating every week, i remember waking up in the morning checking if i went up, it was hard, but let me tell you rank 14? was GOD in wow, you could one hit people. Wearing full epic gear was just something very hard to get.

btw, kindda old thread to bring it up, swifty got banned few weeks ago, from justin.tv not sure if he got his account back or not, becasue there was a link to own3d. just wow.

I think its plain stupid what he did, without even thinking...
