| A little over a week ago, Tim and Rob decide to build a new team of multiboxers with the intent to play together on the new team as much as possible. The team is built around PVE and PVP, with PVP being more of the focus. The team is highly specialized and consists of only two character classes. Tim - 2x Priests, currently both Holy spec Rob - 3x Hunters, currently both BM spec The reasoning behind the team composition is that the BM pets should easily be able to tank with the hunters contributing the bulk of the groups DPS, while at the same time healing the pets through pet and hunter talents. The dual priests will float around spamming Holy Nova, contributing nicely to group DPS while at the same time keeping huge heals up on the entire group including the pets. Below is a video of doing Stockades with this team make up. Enjoy! http://multiboxing.com/world-of-warc...2-multiboxers/ |

| You wouldn't consider priest/druid for a healing combo? Similar play styles, heal on the move, HoTs direct heals etc, and you'd get the extra buff, as well as the ability to queue in dungeon finder (it doesn't check speck / gear, resto druid allows tank slot)

| Senior Member | Yup that was his whole reasoning... Holy Nova = AoE Heal + AoE Dmg

| Consider going Disc on the healers, instead of Holy. Disc > Holy for single target healing, by a long shot. Only a Holy Pally can come close to a Disc priest at keeping one target alive. You'll eventually gain Penance, which is seriously over powered. It is instant as soon as clicked, and then pulses at 1 and 2 seconds later. If a mob/player is beating on you, you will likely lose the 2nd pulse. It is still more mana efficient then Greater Heal. The instant heal can save a toon, when no other healer can. Your PW: Shield becomes an even stronger tool. You can rapidly cast it on each party member, with zero GCD. You are still limited (weakened soul) to recasting on the same target. But it heals for a small amount, and protects for a large amount. And gives you fairly massive haste, on the next spell cast. The party/raid gains damage reduction for a short time after you use PW: Shield. Pain Suppression is amazing. Any time you know damage is coming, you can mitigate it immensely. This is vs big hits on your tanking toon, as PW: Shield is for everyone in the party. Divine Aegis also procs on a crit, making your overheals somewhat useful. Flash Heal, with Disc Talents, is an amazing heal for anyone under 50% health. Your primary heal will be Penance, but consider using: /castsequence reset=7 Penance, Flash Heal, Flash Heal, Flash Heal. Mana efficiency is a huge portion of Disc. Your primary spells are all instant cast, and that means greatly reduced mana. And increased effectiveness. Compared to holy, you'll put out more then twice the healing once you have your full talents invested in the tree... that assumes you both cast until OOM. If you pvp or world pvp, Disc is 100x more survivable then a Holy Priest. Again, only the Holy Pally is even close. Disc has very strong AoE heals too. - Holy Nova is instant, and extremely mana efficient. - Prayer of Mending, is fire and forget. In AoE, it bounces from target to target. - PW: Shield is an excellent damage mitigation tool, when AoE is coming. - Renew can be used like a Resto Druid's Rejuvenation. a) Pre-shield everyone. Consider a Pain Suppression on the tank. b) Prayer of Mending on the Tank. c) Spam Prayer of Healing, or Holy Nova is you are moving. d) When PW: Shield expires, begin recasting by 1) PW: Shield one toon, 2) Prayer of Healing the party, 3) PW: Shield a different toon, 4) Prayer of Healing the party... taking advantage of the 25% spell haste after a PW: Shield. e) Throw a new Prayer of Mending. This is overkill AoE healing for every heroic encounter, including Loken in Halls of Lightning. You can ignore the Lightning Ring and easily heal through it, but its easier to position your toons outside of it. As a Disc, the PW: Shield absorbs the entire damage from his aura, which completely negates the spell pushback. |

1. Isn't Holy Nova always instant? (so I am assuming this line is meant to highlight Mental Agility) 2. Same as above? 3. Same as above? 4. Same as above + what do you mean (I mean they are both HoTs, but that has nothing to do with Disc vs. Holy)?

| You are definitely right, its a tossup between holy spec and disc spec. The thing is I know for sure that holy will work just fine, so I think I'm going to level a bit more and see how it goes. But when we start doing BGs, it will be Disc for sure. I think I will end up dual speccing both priests so I can swap. But really, the big thing used right now and leveling is Holy Nova. I use that almost exclusively due to the huge amount of heals it does to the entire party. |

| They were listed as bullet points, basically the main heals which Disc is good with. But, instant is especially good for Disc because: - Twin Disciplines gets you +5% healing and damage on instants. - Mental Agility reduces the mana cost of instants. Holy will have almost all the same spells as Disc. Minus the talented Disc spells, but plus the talented Holy spells. For PvE it boils down to: - Holy gets bigger heals. - Disc is better at preventing damage or reacting quickly to damage; not to mention dealing damage and surviving damage directed at them. |
