Machinima

Hey guys, I've been getting ready to create a machinima film, but I've hit a creaters block.

I've come up with the characters and their personalities, and have arranged for voice actors. I've found a great lip-syncing software that I am going to use, which is the same one Blizzard uses for their Cinematics,


The one thing that is last on my checklist, is the story and plot.

So, umm, anyone have ideas?

What I want to do is the acceptance of the Goblins into the Horde, and the Horde races making fun of their small stature, but being blown up by their various gadgets and rocket launchers. But, these are ideas at the moment.

Currently, I am voicing the Goblin, Garrosh, and the Tauren.

I am going to be putting many easter eggs in the movie, not overloading it. Some will be about multiboxing (already have those planned), some will be movie and TV references, and a few VG references

Sounds great! I'll get my old Dungeon Master hat and see if I can come up with any compelling stories.

Also, Is it going to be a comedy/tragedy or what? Or have you got that far yet?

Comedy, nothing dramatic like Tales of the Past.

Basically, its gonna be about a goblin and his trials to impress the other races of the Horde.

Why am I not surprised that Carbs has a DM hat...I personally like my DM hat. It's a pink fedora.

I have a DM hat as well. It says World Series 1987 on it But yea, I love D&D.

I have a great idea. But first, are you ok with one that has a multiboxing undertone? If so, I'm going to go ape nuts with an awesome idea.

Okay so here is my idea....

Imagine a 5 box team of characters, and the characters actually have personalities, lives, etc. Well, what if you did a story where one of the 5 box team (Lets do 5x Shaman, most easily identifiable with multiboxing) decided to leave the group for personal reasons.

So the script shows how they were friends at first, then broke apart, then at the end came back together.

Thoughts?

Maybe play it like a "Behind the Music" kind of special, showcasing the hardships and trials each character went through after the group broke up.

An example, maybe we see the tank in Dalaran, whoring himself out for dungeon runs and instant ques.

Or a healer who only focuses on the tank, leaving the dps to die.
