I cleared 3/4 of black temple

barely beat bloodboil on the 2nd attempt. huge accomplishment hehe. nuked magtheridon and almost cleared most of black temple with a 5 way team mostly geared with a mix of cata dungeon and heroic blues in the same evening... i'm still pinching myself hehe.

Next boss up.. relequary of souls then some top floor fun. I didn't keep track of how much gold i earned but every trash mob dropped over 1 gold so i probably made a small fortune in 3-4 hours.

I actually tried a'lar and kael in tempest keep just before heading over to black temple and the most i've managed to kill there so far is a lot of trash pulls hehe..

the encounter mechanics for kael and a'lar weren't very easy for my team composition with one healer. I almost killed alar while warrior tanking but the meteor bombs and phoenix aoe's were just killling my guys faster than i could macro heal.

The kael encounter is still a suprising challenge... i could get to the phase where all of his minions respawn but with the mage casting time freeze and conflag which does a room wide aoe stun plus the warrior consistently fearing and silencing i couldn't manage to kill any of them fast enough for it to make a difference.

At least black temple bosses so far i've been able to mostly overpower them by dropping time warp, mirror image, metamorposis, demon soul and demonic enpowerment for a smooth 9k dps from one or two buttons while manually tanking. Not so much luck with kael however. might have another go at it soon with my new big bad warlock dps macros and see if it helps any.

I was considering streaming a boxing raid but I've had some issues with my stream dropping frames unless i stream in 1080p which uses gobs of processing power. aside from figuring out that mystery I need to setup virtual audio cable so my headset mic is broadcast on the stream. it's odd that fme is dropping frames when vhsrcap is set to resize from 1920x1080 to 1280x720 and stream 1280x720 in fme also the fps is three times better in 1080p which honestly baffles me more since fme isn't transcoding.

Why use Virtual Audio Cable? It is the crap. Just use Stereo Mix and get a good mic. Better yet, spend $200 on a mixer + mic and have a setup like mine (though mine was >$200).

What are your gaming PC specs, and what is your upload speed?

it's slow season for work atm so $200.00 I don't have to spend is a good thing. my usb headset works good enough and I already own one

I have stereo mix enabled and it works but since my usb headset is a separate recording device VAC will do nicely to bridge the usb mic.

My system is a essentially a newer clone of yours with gobs of sata 3 raid, no ssd's, custom water cooling and an i7-920. upload speed is tops around 3mbit

...the driver toon kept grabbing all the aggro and dying nearly instantly, and because I haven't really set up my "teams" for FTL, which is still something my brain waggles over...once the driver's dead, there's a lot of button mashing on my part, but wiping is the order of the day over here at Camp Happy.

I look to you and Tim and Ualaa to set the bar...and then I try to emulate. Today's docket includes setting up for once and for all a "universal" keybind...erm, I'll call it a matrix...so I'm not tripping over WoW, Pwnboxer, the Naga and the Nostromo...

Can I ask what addon you're using to highlight cooldowns. Is it OmniCC or Quartz or what?

I just don't use bartender... i find it's a laggy bloated steaming pile of crap. instead i've relied on dominos for most of the for or five years playing world of warcraft.

If there's anything addons doing cooldown notifcations it's either dominos, xperl or that cooldown timer bar i started testing recently called ForteXorcist. So far I have a couple major issue with it is that it's not designed to have a configuration for each separate character and there's no way i've found so far to hide certain elements it adds to the ui.
