| Quote: *correction of prior statement* It wasn't failed driver support that caused me to stop using it, it was the flashing software wasn't supported under 64 bit OS's. More info ![]() My review from another site ----------------------------------- OK I did this all last night, not a lot of effort, I've saved the template if anyone else gets one, I'm going to be working on more inserts over the next few days Few notable things about this keyboard. A: It feels like it's from 1985. It's bulky. You could hit it with a 5 lb sledge and it might break the sledge. B: It's 100% hardware. There's no resident software you need to run. You run the app, design the layout, and then it writes it all to an EPROM on the keyboard. C: (I've thought very hard as to how to post this one) There is the possibility for abuse. You can program keys to write both strings of text AND scancode in a manner that shows 2 keypresses at once. D: For you number crunchers out there, after setting up the keys that were missing (Escape, F1-F12, Print Screen, Scroll Lock, and Pause Break) - you have 28 spare keys available for programming. Here's my current layout. Lotta possibilities here.

Maybe I could take the anti-social route and remap all my a-z keys to only ones I actually need to play the game? ![]() But guys, here is the keyboard I was thinking of (thanks champ for linking it!). ROCCAT STUDIOS V3.0 - PRODUCTS » Gaming Keyboards » ROCCAT Valo I'm ordering one right now. I've also contacted the manufacturer to see if we can't somehow work a deal on it. | |

| I use a G13 gamepad set up for movement and hotbar buttons. A Naga for switching between hotbars. I also run a G19 keyboard, but currently I don't have the 12 programmable buttons utilized. I liked the G15 better with the 18 buttons, but it doesn't look like they make the version of the worn out one I have. On the G15 I had the top 6 buttons set as hotbars, 1-6. Then had the remaining buttons as the 12 hotbar buttons. I have been playing that way as long as I can remember (either since WOW came out or the G15 did). Changing to a new setup is taking some time, and then I decided to add multiboxing on top of it. I must be a glutton for punishment. Last edited by lsakowski; 11-10-2009 at 12:34 PM. |

| Not that I'm a MS fanboi, but they do make some rock solid hardware. I've been eyeballing this one for a while... SideWinder? X6 Keyboard Numpad is modular, can be moved to the left side of the keyboard. Has 30 programmable keys total. |
