I'm liking the Prot Pally, Elemental Shaman, Resto Shaman, Marksman Hunter and Balance Druid. Lifted this from EatCarbs and it's been a blast to play.

For leveling (mid 60's), 5x Boomkin is a blast.
I love collections, 5 feet off of the ground, surrounded by hostile mobs that don't aggro.
I've got one dual-spec'd Bear and another dual-spec'd Tree, for PvE.
Hopefully, they'll have enough burst to excel in battlegrounds.

I've also got two teams at 80th.

Paladin + 4x Shaman, excels at PvE.
This will be a fairly decent team for PvP too, but I'm hopeful the druids work out.
If they don't, I could trade roles between those two teams.
This team is easy mode, compared to everything else.
I'm contemplating trading a shammy for a warlock on my mixed team.

Mixed team is fun, but I need to play them for a few days to get good again.
There are too many different abilities to remember the keybinds for everything.
Bear tank, Disc healer, and frost mage + destruction warlock + elem. shaman for dps.
The Bear dual-spec's boomkin for quests.
I should probably dual spec the frost mage to arcane too...
Then I have the 5x caster option, with snare/freeze.
Or the Tank + 3x DPS doing the most damage they can.
Not my favorite team of the four I run, but still effective.

Also leveling 4x Warlocks + 1x Disc Priest.
Only 13th level, at the moment, but this will be fun.
Can do Agony x4, Corruption x4, Immolate x4, Imps x4, SW: Pain x1...
Corruption/Haunt/UnstableAffliction x4 + Agony/Weakness/Exhaustion/Tongues x1 + SW: Pain/Devouring Plague.... will be interesting to unload in battlegrounds.

The reason why I like to stay away from mixed teams is more of a personal reason in that I play PVP (well, WoW's "PVP") and enjoy it more than PVE.

So with a 1x Druid 4x Shaman PVE team, you can also own face as a PVE team. Having a mixed PVE team is going to pretty much ensure you fail at PVP.

Pretty much, if you use a "click sequence" for your DPS, you are relinquishing control over every aspect of your teams play, for a predefined static attack sequence which against a target dummy gets optimal damage.

However, not having the ability to mix up your moves, or choose when to do the big burst move, is a serious detriment in pvp. If for example, an opposing warlock moves in and hellfires your team, the "click" macro might force you to apply 2-3 dots with your warlocks prior to doing a quick searing pain x4, which would kill the offender immediately. The dots, while more damage per minute, will allow the hellfire to take your team out, or for the opposing healer to save the warlock.

However, with a mixed team, there's no way you can effectively manage Flame Shock, Frost Shock, Wind Shear, Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, Lava Burst, Elemental Mastery, Bloodlust/Heroism for the shammies independently, while also doing the same for your other four classes.

So, our choices on a mixed team, is "click dps sequences" which removes our flexibilty, adaptability and control but allows 3x-5x different classes to DPS at once, albeit in a fixed manner, or to not run a mixed team.

With an all shaman team, or all any one class, you can have every ability on its own hotkey, and manage every ability to the best possible effect. For PvP, this is generally far superior to a mixed team. Although in PvE, mixed teams (at least somewhat mixed) generally prove to be by far the strongest.

I'd probably go with a PvP team, built for pvp.
And a PvE team, built for heroic/raid progression.
But one team, which is strong at one and can do the other... does make sense, since they'll be geared from both aspects and with 100% of your play time, be the strongest they can be.

Default Re: What is everyones favorite boxing combo?

I've mixed things up a bit.
Basically traded a shaman from the first team, for a warlock from the second team.

Main team, is now:
- 1x Prot Paladin
- 3x Elemental Shaman
- 1x Destruction Warlock

Instead of 3 DPS, 1 Healer and 1 tank, it is 4 DPS... 3 of whom also heal.
The 13% spell power from Curse of the Elements is very nice.

I've started this team on some heroics.
Basically just running Drak'Tharon Keep, Utgarde Keep, Nexus, CoT, and Violet Hold so far.
I don't particularly enjoy boxing everyone in heroics... but I want the shoulders and chest heirloom items, which cost 200 stone keeper shards or 40 heroic badges each.

Three of the five druids have both pieces now.
One warlock has two pieces, while another has one.
But that's because I had two toons who had a slug of badges.
Bought the pieces, did an account transfer and bought more pieces.

So I'm sitting at 19 of 160 badges, 19 of 40 badges, 11 of 80 badges and 19 of 160 badges, to finish the heirloom stuff. At the pace it is going, the two accounts which have no pieces will probably get one each from stonekeeper shards.

Boomkin are still more fun...
But the druids have become Feral Kitties.
Much stronger for PvP.
And that is the focus of the team.

With IWT spam, they circle their targets incredibly quickly.
Which makes them very hard to attack directly.
And has them behind the mob half the time.
So, am using Ravage/Shred (ambush/backstab) as their primary attack.

Too bad my initial macro doesn't work:
/cast Shred
/cast Mangle(Cat)(Rank2)

Still Shred is doing plenty.

Have them set up, so I can toggle each individually between Bear and Cat, or the entire team either way. With talents the switch forms costs almost no mana.

Not sure exactly how I want to play them.
Can do things like Bear-Bash on round-robin.
But will probably just go Kitties for killing.
And one Tree for instances (one kitty can go bear).
