I was looking to see who was online and noticed the latest blog entry had to do with WoW gold. Investigated further and, yup, spammer.

I've also noticed that a lot of spambots will post an initial message like:

Hello forums ,it is my first post here wish to say hello!

Which is a poorly written spambot initial post. I think the initial post stays up for 1-2 days then the spambot comes back.

Thread necro! (But for a good reason)

I was bored one night and I made a program that scans the forums every 5 minutes for new posts, and alerts if there are any.

So hypothetically, when I get things working, spam posts will be taken down very quickly .

Thanks SeaofRed. The program I created is now out in the wild (only on my computer that is). It scans for new posts every 10 or 15 minutes (I'm still debating). It would be nice if I could actually login with my program so I can just look at the "new posts" page, but that would require getting the md5hash and the like.

Regardless, it works as it should
