Default Warning - Incgamers.com twice triggers rootkit alarm

Hey guys just a heads up, that two times now that I have visited Incgamers.com, my AV has triggered an alert that the website is attempting to install a rootkit keystroke logger.

So beware and stay away from anything on incgamers.com

EDIT: Update! I visited the site from my test system which has no connectivity to any PC on my network, and can be wiped, and is used specifically for testing, and sure enough, the website visiting resulted in the exact attack occuring that my Norton AV picked up.

Yup, my test machine got keylogged. Do not visit that site at all!

OR I could just not browse the web. Or I could just not use computers. Or I could just pretend I was in the 1800s

Bottom line is that its a sorry state that websites such as IG do not act more proactive or reactive to protecting their users.

I use Firefox on every machine between home and work. Only a few of my lab tech's use I.E due to web based clinical software. I.E. is a Black hole in any secure network in my opinion.

I agree. probably an advertisement. Norton Websafe says the site is clean, and so do user reviews.

I checked their page though and no ads came from that keylogging domain. Hmm.

Either way, it is TTH's responsibility to ensure that their website does not facilitate this crap. Sure, if its an add, but they need to react and respond, versus do nothing.

But yea, I'm a fan of advertising, because I think websites need to be rewarded for all the things they do. After all, sites like Justin.tv could easily run into tens of millions of dollars a month in costs.

see you know how you do this. get a cheap computer and a trail account. visit site and then log into game. leave one copper on the toons. then log out and laugh you ass off.. lol make sure to not use any of your info when makeing this account. but now you just wasted some time for the keyloggers...lol
