Utgarde Keep

Tim,

I've seen from your armory that you've completed Urgarde Keep with your 4 priest + pala combo. Could you post a video of this please - it would be really interesting to see how this grouping is coping with Ingvar.

This seems to be an extremely good combo. I've tried 5xShamans which were ok till WotLK - there's just some bosses which a mail wearer can't tank. And I've tried 1 prot pala, 1 holy pala and 3 mages but again, the mages are too soft which means the holy pala gets overloaded. I've also tried a group of droods but this priest/pala combo just seems awesome especially as they're all poorly geared.

I'm looking forward to seeing this.

I havent had any problems in Heroics so far with 3 squishy DPS... The trick it to 1) not pull aggro and 2) park them far enough away from a pull that they don't accidentally get into the fray.

Well, I was boxing across 3 (slow) machines and only using keyclone so am prepared to accept that it was me but here's two examples where I always had a problem:

1) Skarvald - he randomly picks a player to attack and within two hits I'd lose a mage - with one DPS down I normally lost the group

2) Moorabi - his quake dropped the health of my 3 mages to next to nothing and the holy pala just ran out of mana trying to heal - so again epic fail

I'm going to get an Acer Predator at the weekend and I've been toying with trying either pwnboxer or IBoxer to see if this improves the challengs of lag etc. I start totally from scratch because my battle net account was hacked and as I had all my 5 wow games under that 1 account I lost the lot. This time, I'll go for 5 battle net accounts and have 4 invited through RAF so should lvl very quickly.

Would be interested in your thoughts/feedback,

Hmm....

I can honestly say I have never had a problem with either of those bosses.

Did you have incredibly crappy gear (on them or your healer)?
How do you have heals setup? Spamming Flash of Light on a targeted player should be enough to keep them alive if you are having trouble on Skar.
Do you have trouble reacting quickly to damage?

I cannot offer any advice on Moorabi... I would actually consider him one of the easiest H bosses (no insult or offense or anything intended).

No offense taken - I'm ok with epic fail

At lvl 71 my gear was poor quality and it wasn't until lvl75 or 76 that I cleared Utgarde Keep with the mage combo for the 1st time. My drood team did a lot better and wasn't going down like a pack of cards in a breeze so I was clearing Utgarde Keep, Gundrak etc really ok at about lvl72. Like I said, I was using keyclone so I had my heals setup on the right keypad and I wasn't doing anything too clever - which I think was one of my problems. When I start again I'll change my setup, have everything running on one machine and use pwnboxer probably.
