Ultima Online anyone?

Just curious, how many of you guys ever played Ultima online (UO), the granddaddy of MMOs?

I was on the Beta test team back in 96(?). I was attempting to play over a 36K modem. Needless to say, the experience was horrible. I haven't played since.....

I played in the Beta for a very short time. Just wasn't my cup of grog back then.

Played it for a bit. I needed more eye candy.

Never played the game.
But was at a friends place for a starcraft network party once.

One of the guys there was ganking lowbies on Ultima and taking all their stuff, outside of a starting town. He had a blast doing it, but is the kind of guy to kill a game rather then build it.

The game was well past its release by then.

That's my only experience with it.

I did play some of the older offline Ultima games for the PC.

• Exodus: Ultima III (my Favorite)
• Ultima IV
• Ultima V
• Ultima VII

Never got into theWorlds of Adventure spinoffs, Underworld or the arcad-y stuff (Ascension).

Oh man, those old school games are amazing. Did you play both part 7s?

My personal favorite was Ultima IV - Quest of the Avatar. Though I never did play Ultima V. There is a remake of Warriors of Destiny that is 100% completed and actually really good, I'm watching a "Lets Play" of it right now.
