| It could work. I think your uncle has the tougher setup though

I tried running a tank and healer myself, just 2 box, and doing random groups. I found I had a really hard time healing the other party members without dedicated heal macros to handle it. How did you find yourself doing this effectively?

Make these your macros (replace spell as needed for each column). Put all of them on your bars and bind them to whatever you want and then set your Docks to the various bindings. /cast [@party1] Chain Heal /cast [@party2] Chain Heal /cast [@party3] Chain Heal /cast [@party4] Chain Heal Make another row next to your player frame and use this macro (again replacing the spell as needed) and do the same as above with the bindings. /cast [@player] Chain Heal This has the side ffect of you needing a bazillion macros put on your bars though. At one point I had 30 buttons taking up with macros on my shaman just for healing. The other option if you do not use Pwnboxer is ISBoxer Repeater Regions + HealBot (or similar add-on)

I do a tank and 4 dps setup 3 being elem shamans. for tank /stopcast lesser healing wave does like 10-22k per hit for group /stopcast chain heal (each shaman targets themself for maximum efficiency without having to think) They also have a target tank chain heal, but I usually only use that if tank needs a heal and they are grouped up right behind and also need a somewhat heal. Most fights bosses don't cleave or anything so this works fine because the heal will bounce back and hit the group. 3x healing stream totems. Then druid has tranquility for an oh crap heal. I would go shadow priest and use for an oh crap backup healer. 4x dps kills stuff faster so less time is needed to "catch up" with healing. Some fights can be really hard like the last boss on heroic of the first ICC 5 man instance. I did it on normal, but heroic is crazy. You could switch to holy offspec for a fight like that.

Semi hijack here, but is it possible to arrange a party such as how you can arrange a raid? So could you /script or macro to force party members in a particular order?

I know the frustration as my guys accept a different order every time. The easiest way, but not he most efficient is invite all and manually click the other screens the order you want. You could make 4 macros on the main and use the everything macro on the alts to accept. Ex: 1E, 2E, 3E, 4E Maybe try /invite xxx, /invitexxx,, not sure if this would work. I will try once I get home if nobody does by then. I think there are also smart macros that check for lowest hp, but I have no clue what they are.

I personally just set up a Healbot grid next to my party members so I can easily see who is who in the party. I've found that it helps out my reaction time considerably by having both the standard unitframe party as well as Healbot. Healbot also will sort and show you people based on raid names (such as BGs) vs normal party unitframes.
