Default Thoughts on multiboxing LOTRO

Hey guys,

So I'm going to give LOTRO a little test and I was wondering, does anybody here currently play it now?

If so, what sort of character classes should I pick if I wanted to multibox?

Does LOTRO have /follow and macro systems suitable to multibox?

Basically I'm a complete noob to LOTRO and would love some information from those currently playing

Hi Tim,

best classes are hunter and Runekeeper, the runekeeper is a kind of caster DPS not too favourable with lotr hardcore freaks though because its not inline with the feel of the book.

hunter is a fire and forgret class, and best for their porting abilities, being able not only to port themself but also party member to a vast amount of areas in the LOTRO world, this is especially good for new toons, because the lotro trsvel system dont let you travel to locations unless oyu find them first, and mark yourself at their travel stables.

warden is the new class, but it has an awkward gambit system, a sort of culmination of specific moves resulting in one huge action if implemented properly, this is the system a lot of people use macros for, but after reading your numerous posts on use of macros, thats a no go.

a mass of pwnboxed runekeepers, now thats the way to go. Electricity and fire specced are the best, they have heals too, so thats you sorted. they are pretty weak for armor though, but they do have a next electricity shield that does dammage to attackers, and their dps if you have them on mass, well its pretty unmatched.

thats my 2 pence worth, or as you americans say, 2 cents worth. enough to buy a skinny late' and have a crouton.

if you get the multi setup workin let me know, coz if you cant do it, well there is no hope for me.

Im on the EU server snowbourne, but i guess your prefered server, and the busiest one will be the US one, im easy to find coz all my alts are mice

fayemouse, infamouse, mousenegger, ginormouse

soon to be adding when i get pwnboxer working,

mousenator, mouseketeer, sarumouse, anonymouse,

if any of you guys use the EU snowborne server and need help, im always around and willing, most toons are lower level but their crafting is right up.

gotta have a hunter in the group for porting.

Champions are aoe/dps. Loremasters are more of a debuffing class. Captain is a good class to have around for the buffs. Burglar class is the rogue class. Minstrel's are the healers.

The Rune Keeper is a healer/damage. Because of they way they are set up you can heavy dmg, light heals or heavy heals light damage. I have a lvl 54 myself a fun class to play.

There is one more class that is suppose to be a off tank sort of class, never played one cant remember the name of it either.

Starting group PvE I would go with Minstrel,Hunter, Champ x4

Ettenmoors group I would go Rune Keeper,Hunter x5

Then there's Monster Play which probably only thing I would ever Box in LOTRO personally.

What is this Monster Play that you are mentioning?

Also, what is a good PVP server in LOTRO to test on? US Realms of course (Sorry mouse!)
