Thinking about 10-boxing again... thoughts?

So I'm thinking about 10 boxing again. The last time I did this was when WOTLK first came out, and I rolled 10x Shaman, or 9x Shaman 1x Resto Druid.

Firstly, as you guys probably know, I love leveling a new team. In fact, it is probably my favorite thing to do in WoW overall. Running old school instances just reinvigorates the feeling of why I fell in love with this game.

So I am thinking of doing a 10x box team with a focus around AV and that 25 man BG that I always forget the name of (Strand of the Ancients?). I've loved AV for nearly forever and I was thinking that maybe rolling a 10x team would be fun times.

So here are my thoughts:

I'm thinking of a 10x team where I can have a couple of one-button setups. For example, 1 button where my team does:

Point blank AOE DPS
Targetted Range DPS
Mass AOE heals

And then a 1 button where I can have a few in my team AOE heal while the rest of the team PBAoE as well as Targetted ranged DPS.

So what classes would you think I should go? Let's theorycraft a bit for this 10 man team:

So some initial thoughts:

1 Button PB AOE w/1 Button Heals Team
(Example team, not sure if viable hah)

Priest Idea

1x Feral Druid Leader
--- This would be the lead of the group. Tons of armor, nice "oh ****" cooldowns, and a really high health pool. The most important thing for this guy is survivability plus, as a tank druid, he can spam swipes for PBAOE.

9x Holy Priest / Disc Priest
--- Spamming Holy Nova for AOE heals and DPS
--- Spamming Penance for ranged DPS w/dots


The team would have great AOE heals for the group, with some AOE damage, but overall, damage output would suck pretty bad I would think.

UPDATE: The Disc Priests get Atonement which does this: "When you deal damage with Smite, Holy Fire, and Penance, you instantly heal a nearby low health friendly target within 15 yards from the enemy target for 100% of the damage dealt."

This would be super awesome since each volley of Penance would heal up multiple people from 0 to full, making the self heal really, really strong.


Druids and DK Idea

5x Resto Druids
--- 5x Spammage of Wild Growth = PWN aoe heals
--- 5x Spammage of HOT heals and direct heals = PWN
--- Moonfire spammaage + free wrath spammages
--- No point blank AOE damage


5x DK
--- Great ranged dmg with Howling Blast as Frost
--- Could go Blood spec and spam lots of AOE blood damage
--- Blood is hard as hell to kill

Overall I like the druid potential for heals and ranged DPSing and the DPS is decent as well. 5x Frost DKs (or maybe 1x Blood, rest frost?) with 5x Druids spamming moonfire while spamming heals. Good?

Druids and Warlocks Idea

1x Druid to be the leader
--- Tough to take down, essentially the tank of the group, main targetted often for hot heals

4x Resto Druids
--- Spamming Wild Growth + Heals
--- Spamming Moonfire
--- Lots of Battle rezes!

5x Warlocks as Demonology
--- 5x Pets whoooooooot I <3 Felguards
--- Lots of good AOE with Hellfire on all Warlocks (Druids easily healing it up)
--- Lots of good ranged DPS with all sorts of attacks
--- Pretty nice health pools w/self healing too if need be!
--- Lots of battle-rezs!

This team has some really good AOE damage, heal damage, DOT damage, and direct damage. I like this combo!

EDIT: With the MoP Talent of Symbosis, the Warlocks would learn a new spell of Rejuvenation and now have an instant HOT that they can cast themselves every 10 seconds. The warlocks would be able to heal!!

EDIT: Warlocks get http://mop.wowhead.com/spell=108508 which increase AOE spell range by 500% as a passive skill. That would be awesome to roll on by with 5x Warlocks casting Immolation! It effects all sorts of spells: Immolation Aura, Fire and Brimstone, Harvest Life, Hellfire, Rain of Fire, Seed of Corruption ( Soulburn: Seed of Corruption

Another thought: Would I want to put 1x Shaman into each team, just for tremor totem?

Priest and Warlocks Idea

5x Warlocks Demonology
--- 5x Demons which do amazing AOE
--- 5x Hellfire AOE DPS spamming
--- Decent ranged DPS
--- Lots of battle rezzes!

5x Priests Disc
--- 5x Holy Nova Spamming
--- Lots of Penance DPS
--- Penance heals a raid member lowest health for equal damage dealt

With this team, I could roll around and press 1 button to spam Hellfire and Holy Nova, and just roll around like that. I think the AOE DPS would be really nice, and the heals would probably offset all the damage being done. Plus the Felguards would be going nutty with their AOE dps. Fear would be tough on this group though. Maybe remove a priest and add a Resto Shaman and totem out of fears?

I might be looking at this the wrong way... I don't really need all of them to be the same class, or near the same class. I could probably pick first the classes that I want to have to spread out all the best buffs, and then pick classes that can do aoe healing, as well as aoe dmg, and then focused target damage. Hmm.... More Theorycrafting needed for this 10x team!

I've set this into 3 main buttons I would press, which would then trigger macros on each guy. These are the 3 buttons I will roll my face over for the main usage of the team. There would be other buttons (eg, buff, summon demon, etc) but those aren't really main buttons. Button 1 is my main ranged DPS button, Button 2 is for running in and AOEing a crapload of peeps, and Button 3 is when I need to focus more on healing but still DPS.

Mixed Team

1x Druid Feral Tank (Leader)
--- This is literally the tank of the group, with as high HP and damage avoidance as possible and have a primary focus is simply staying alive. I will probably swipe nonstop in his rotation and blow whatever CDs to self heal and stay alive.
--- MOTW Buff
--- Mash Button #1 (main ranged dps): Swipe / Self Heal
--- Mash Button #2 (main point blank aoe dps): Swipe / Self Heal
--- Mash Button #3 (main aoe heal): Swipe / Self Heal

I think this would be the best guy to take damage and live a long time, right? Or would a Prot Pally be better? Or Blood DK? Hmmm....

1x Elemental Shaman
--- Drops totems for buffs and fear break tremor totem
--- Mash Button #1 (main ranged dps): Chain Lightning Spam
--- Mash Button #2 (main point blank aoe dps): Magma Totem / Nova, Thunderstorm, Chain Lightning
--- Mash Button #3 (main aoe heal): Chain Heal

1x Balance Druid
--- Moonkin raid buff
--- Mash Button #1 (main ranged dps): Castsequence reset=target Moonfire / Wrath / etc
--- Mash Button #2 (main point blank aoe dps): Starfall / Typhoon / Moonfire Spam
--- Mash Button #3 (main aoe heal): Spams heal on main lead guy

4x Warlocks Demonology
--- Mash Button #1 (main ranged dps): Pet Attack / Dots / Shadowbolt / Seed of Corruption
--- Mash Button #2 (main point blank aoe dps): Pet AOE / Hellfire
--- Mash Button #3 (main aoe heal): Probably Hellfire spamming

2x Priests Disc
--- These guys will mainly focus on lots of healing with some DPS
--- Mash Button #1 (main ranged dps): Penance / Holy Fire / Smite (all 3 heal people in the raid), Bubbling my main leader
--- Mash Button #2 (main point blank aoe dps): Holy Nova Spamming
--- Mash Button #3 (main aoe heal): Probably rotation of Prayer of Healing / That heal that jumps around / Holy Nova

1x Druid Restoration
--- This person will be doing heals only, probably spam not anything else, just heal heal heal
--- Mash Button #1 (main ranged dps): Target leader, spam heal rotation including Wild Growth
--- Mash Button #2 (main point blank aoe dps): Spam Wild Growth w/heals inbetween
--- Mash Button #3 (main aoe heal): Tree Form, Spam Wild Growth w/heals inbetween


What level is the min for AV again?

I do 1 Paladin 9 DKs. The only other thing I would consider is healer + 9 rets.

Oh snaps Carbs, I'd love to see that in action. Do you happen to have any videos of 1x Pally 9x DKs up?

About the Rets, what would make you go that route? When I multiboxed 5x Pallies, I felt like they were constantly out of range and didn't quite have the oompf of other classes.

1x Shaman (Resto or Elemental? Not sure)

--- Mash Button #2 (main point blank aoe dps): Magma Totem / Nova, Thunderstorm, Chain Lightning

Overall

• When I am not taking any damage, all my guys can do ranged DPS (except the tank, who just chills).
  
• When I am taking moderate damage, I can make all my guys do ranged DPS except the 2x Druids 1x Priest, who will focus on heals.
  
• When I run in and do massive AOE, I can focus tons of PBAOE while still doing a lot of AOE heals.

Thoughts?

I say:

1x druid heals/tank (gear, 2 spec)
1x priest heals (disc)
--------------------------------- you get nice heals with buffs
5x elemental shamans
3x warlocks

-I would box myself 8x elemental shamans 1x heal shaman and 1x druid for buffs and flex

Glyph of the Battle Healer
Using melee attacks while using Seal of Insight heals a nearby injured friendly target, excluding the Paladin, within X yards for X percent of damage dealt.

Hmm, that glyph says melee attacks, but I wonder what exactly that includes? Just auto attacks? Melee skills/spells?
