Question Starting over from scratch...

Hello all,
I am going to start boxing again with a fresh duo. I will be leveling up using RAF and running some quests but mostly instances... well that is the plan at least. I have 5 boxed in the past but I want to keep the expenses low and be able to interact with others and make friends.

I want a duo that has the ability to be flexible later on in the game, but start off as a tank and healer. I think this should greatly reduce my wait time for instances.

I want to take the new expansion into account because my goal is to be able to remain viable later on as the base of a group.

Group makeup... Tank/Healer...

Druid/Druid - I like the versatility of the druid to be able to do pretty much anything roll wise. Druid tanks are not as gear dependent to my understanding as the other tanks are, and the heals are pretty powerful.

Paladin/Priest - Paladins are the cornerstone of multiboxers. Easy to macro and very survivable. They to can play many rolls as the game changes. Priests are great healers and are pretty good dps when they are not needed as a healer. They have 2 good healing specs for different group needs.

Warrior/Priest - This is a group that will last through the ages as the cornerstone of every group. Great tank and healer combo. Because I am just running a duo I think it should be pretty easy to manage all the aspects of the warrior as a tank.

These are just ideas, I am open to other suggestions

Race... I will not be playing on a pvp server so that is not an issue that needs addressing. I have never been able to get into the Horde side mindset very well. On the servers I have played on I always hear people clown on the alliance for being kids and idiots... can not argue there. But then i try the horde and they seem to be so mean and condescending. This is as a whole of course and there are many exceptions on each side.

So as far as racials go... any suggestions? I am not apposed to playing on either side.

Server.. I live in Seattle now, so I would like to find a west coast server that is mutlibox friendly.

Thank you in advance for any help and insight you can give.

Teal

Hey buddy, WB!

I know you said you don't want to play on a PVP server, but could I still convince you to roll on Kelthezud as Horde? I just created a new 5man group and guild and you'd be more than welcome to join. I'm playing nearly every day as well.

As far as your idea, I think the druid/druid is the way to go for 2 boxing. The options and possibilities are HUGE for whatever you want to do.

Well I'm trying to get the new guild I formed to also be a serious raiding guild, so from this aspect, maybe it would work as well?

Plus, you MAY not have to encounter ANY PvP. Being Tank/Healer, you will be able to get into pretty much any instance you like with very little down time. If your willing to tank and heal a whole group, then you will be in instances most of the time your leveling.

If you definitely don't want to go a PvP server, with no possible sway, then maybe try Lothar, good PvE server, i know that EaTCarbS is on there, but i think he might be horde.

Speaking of PVP, when you start doing battlegrounds with your group, I suggest you only do them at level 28,...68, 78, and 80. The reason is that your team won't really show its potential if you are level 61 and getting pwnd by level 69 guys.
