Default Slaves loosing Follow

So I mentioned this in my blog but it got a bit annoying last night, so I ask is it normal to have your slaves loose follow..a lot? If the answer is yes I will at least know to spam my follow focus macro after each battle. Btw at least one stops following after most battles.

Is there any setting in their interface that you can think of that might be affecting this? I know its not the same thing that was affecting Tim's one hunter with the walk/run function.

you should install jamba, least then you have a gui to let you know when they stop following :P

do you lose follow after melee combat? or is it all the time?
if its only after melee, then its normal.

Ok, yea its usually after melee since my hunters dont have pets yet. I got Jamba and will take the time to fully configure it tonight. Thanks for the info about melee though that was the problem.

get jamba installed and set it to auto-follow your toon after combat.

fixed.

(usually) otherwise maybe you dont have enough ram and your hd is swapping out, this can make your toons lose follow also.

Hmmm..I am running with 4gig but, I put nothing past my system. I will do the Jamba config, if it will ever let me on tonight! and hopefully that will fix the problem. Thanks for the tip.

It definitely can for a couple of reasons.

#1 - Whenever your character auto melee attacks, it will always break follow mode.

#2 - If your alt guy drops below 5fps, then it will break follow mode.

#3 - If your guy gets stuck on even anything tiny like a curb, rock, etc., it will loose follow mode.

Biggest thing that will cause them to loose follow as tim mentioned is FPS and if they get stuck on something small even for a split second.

I figured out the main problem I had. I am using Jamba and I missed a crucial step in the set up..*cough..cough* I never added my master character on each slave, no wonder I was having so many dang problems for the last few nights! I think I have decided that I am still very inept with macros etc so I am going to switch out my lock for another hunter and have 3 hunters, priest and a shammy. Only two different sets to deal with instead of three. But thanks for all the help in this thread guys it has helped a lot! One other thing, is there a good spell rotation for a Shammy starting at early levels? Should I just do an lightning bolt a lot or should I include a shock spell here and there.
