*Shocking news* Tim is starting a DK team :)

Hey all,

Now that the Pallies are in their 80s, I'm starting a 4x DK Team (to eventually be lead by a Holy Pally)! The reason we do so many teams till their 80s is for RAF purposes so we can level them up and take advantage of the 300% XP!

So starting right now, in about 30 minutes, I will be streaming 4x DKs, brand spanking new. Yay! I'm excited!!

The goal of the 4x DKs will be to learn how to really multibox them very well, with a strong focus around PVP as well as blending through PVE fast. I did DKs a bit in the past but never really put too much effort into them. Now we are going to give it a second chance!

Strangulate Macro

/cast Blood Tap
/cast Strangulate

The Blood Tap ensures you have the Rune for the Strangulate.
You need to spam this, along with the IWT because it is two presses to activate (the first for Blood Tap).
Also you need to be facing correctly for Stangulate, hence the spam in conjunction with the IWT swarm.

I actually have this set up like this:

On "4", Set Focus
a) On Press 1, two of my four DK's (A and B) will assist the Master Window, and set Focus to the current target.
b) On Press 2, two of my four DK's (C and D) will assist the Master Window, and set Focus to the current target.

On "0", Strangulate
a) On Press 1, two of my four DK's (A and C) will strangulate their Focus Target.
b) On Press 2, two of my four DK's (B and D) will strangulate their Focus Target.

The Strangulate is set up to not advance to the next step for a couple seconds, so I can spam the key a few times.

So press 1, will Strangulate two different healers at once.
And if they start to heal (use their Trinket), I can press the key again (press 2) to re-strangulate.

The DKs are now 80 and I have joined them with one of my 83 Holy Pallies.

HOLY CRAP!

Howling Blast is SO DAMN OP! No wonder why people are doing 4x DK 1x Holy, it seriously is EZ MODE!

But really, I am totally loving it. I just dumped 35k on Cataclysm gear and tomorrow I will be running Cata instances for the first time on this team. I have a feeling things are going to go very well *after* I create some really specialized one button per toon heal macros.

My goal is going to be this:

4x DK tank and DPS pressing a single key --- DONE

Holy Pally spams free/low mana heals on designated tank using same tank/dps button as the DKs --- DONE

Holy Pally has individual keys for healing individual DKs very fast and powerfully --- NOT DONE

DKs have a cast sequence to battlerez the Holy Pally --- NOT DONE

DKs have a cast sequence to deathgrip --- NOT DONE

I'm enjoying watching your videos on you tube. I'm really intrigued by how your pally manages to heal the dks as they continuously dps. You dont seem to go oom that much either. I would be interested in your keybinds and macros profile since I'm thinking about creating a similar team.

Hey hey!

I like to keep things super easy and simple when I multibox because, in the event I'm in a "sticky" situation, a complex setup will break down more often than a simple one.

So with that said, I essentially press 1 button to DPS on all my DKs, just a single button mash, and then my healer has a button (and it can be the same button) which spams heals nonstop. The healer's castsequence essentially targets whichever DK is closest, spams holy radiance, holy shock, dawn of light, etc etc., which does fantastic AOE healing as well as great single closest target healing, and the mana usage is pretty damn good too!


I should make a big ass file download with all my macros and addons shouldn't I?

yeah that would be great if you have a chance and don't mind doing it. I'm sure some of the other viewers would be interested as well. By the way I am leveling the same team build and tried utgarde keep (all 70s) last night and was utterly destroyed by the bosses. I think I have to work on my strategies a bit.

I've found that doing instances is SO MUCH EASIER when you make all your DKs be Blood Spec and all in Blood Presence. As in, holy **** wtfbbq easier, plus the DPS is really good too!
