Question Reccomended setup for beginners?

Hey i have decided that i want to start a multiboxing team up soon but i am thinking of the makeup of the group. I will be 5 Boxing and i am thinking about having the following setup:
  • Pally [Protection]
  • Priest [Holy]
  • Shaman [Elemental]
  • Mage [Fire/Arcane]
  • Hunter [MM/Survival]

I chose this setup because i feel that this will work best to farm instances. I plan on running the Pally as the "Leader".

Would this work efficiently? I am also thinking about making trial accounts to understanding the binds better.

If their are any of your out there that have mixed groups like what i stated above, please give advice and tips.

Suggestions from anyone wanted =]

I have very close to the same setup, but with a druid (booom) instead of the hunter, and the priest will be disc

The paladin keeping aggro pushes disc as a much better 5-man healer, in that the tank wont die, and the group heals are powerful (if a bit mana inefficient)

Good setup for variety. If you haven't multiboxed before it might be a little challenging at first with all different classes but it bring a really fun mechanic of crowd control etc to the mix. Once you get the macro's down for the different classes to all cast what you want with a few button keys its all fun times from there. With a set up like this and only one real tank I would highly recommend using Jamba so you can assign specific targets for crowd control. If you search the forums you will find a link to a good video that Catreina did on the set up and if you watch her in RFC you can see her utilize it.

Thanks for all the replies. Soon i will have my accounts up and will start making videos/broadcasting

I feel that the macros are going to be the hardest part.

I am thinking about having my dps macro for all classes on 1 button.

Do /castrandom x,y,z and use their spells accordingly. I was also thinking about having different buttons for my healer. So on one macro it would target the focus [tank] and flash heal/renew/bubble/penence. And have them for all party members.

Also, Is their a way to incorporate Grid/Healbot? I feel if you can just use Right Mouse Button for Flash heal, Left mouse button for penance and shortcuts like that it would ease the factor of healing the other members of the party.

Thanks again for the suggestions!

i would most definatley reccomend grid for boxing if you are controlling the healer to cut the amount of required buttons down to virtually 0.

this is a screenshot of me yesterday, you will notice grid in the bottom right corner. and just see how many buttons i use for my priest... as the rest of it is dealt with by grid.

ie: left mouse select target, right mouse - flash heal, shift+left = renew, ctrl+left = abolish disease, mouse button 5 = dispel magic, mouse button 4 = bubble.

of course these combinations are made somewhat possible by the usage of clique.
(Clique : WoWInterface Downloads : Unit Mods)

if you look at my post regarding team focus macro that is about the only macros i need to use.

hope this has been of some help, feel free to pm me.

I am extremely jealous of your hunter/priest set up!

Any shot you could give me a run down on these forums how to set it up just like yours?
