Default Rebuilding my PC - You guys be interested in watching it streamed?

So I need to cram more hard drives into my gaming system for the purpose of recording video.

The new case is this: Newegg.com - Corsair Obsidian Series 800D CC800DW Black Aluminum / Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

So the question is, would you guys be interested in seeing my stream taking apart my old computer, and building it into a new case? I'll be honest, I absolutely suck at doing system cabling and building things for optimal air flow. Because I'll have something like 6 hard drives in here, I might need some suggestions on help.

So should I stream this, or is that boring? I'll probably stream if even a few people say yes

Cheers!

EDIT: If I rebuild my machine and stream it, I will do so at probably 9PM CST in HD here: http://justin.tv/multiboxing

Here are my specs, cut/pasted from the past:

Gaming PC
  • CPU: 6 core (12 CPU threads) I7 980X Extreme Edition (link)
  • RAM: 12GIGS Corsair Dominator DDR3 (link)

  • Case: Antec 902 (link)
  • Power Supply: 1100w ABS Tagan (link)
  • NAS/SAN: 900mb/sec 12TB drive array in RAID6 (link) which has 8x 1.5TB Seagate Drives (link)

I laughed at this.

Honestly, wouldn't watch this stream.
But I'm sure many would, and it can act as an educational experience, both for yourself and for others who want to build a system at some point.

Definitely stream it.

Have to say I love that case, you can find the video for it here Corsair CC800DW Obsidian 800D Full Tower Case - Steel, ATX, 4x 120mm Fan Ports, 3x 140mm Fans at TigerDirect.com

I have an Antec 1200 case atm, and that is almost twice the size of mine, at 24" tall, 24" deep, and 9" wide, it is monstrously large. For my suggestions on cable management, watch that video, you picked the right case for it.

For setup, the 2 new 2TB drives can go into the bottom hard drive section, with your current 1.5TB drive on top(consider another 2TB to replace that 1.5TB later on to get an extra 500GB of space in the same area). Just above that put in your two 10k Raptor drives skip the second down space, add the SSD to the top of the center area for added air flow to that. For the other 1.5TB misc junk drive(pr0nz drive) I would consider putting that in the bottom slot of your 5.25 bays above the ssd drive(when you get another 2TB drive for your video drive, add that one above the pr0nz drive). I would consider the hard drive areas maxxed out at this point, with the addition of one more ssd drive in the second slot in the middle area, or with 2 cd drives, you are out of sata hookups on the motherboard. This setup leaves you with your os and gaming drives in the center, 6TB's in the bottom, and 3TB's in the 5.25" bays; totaling 9TB's for video and your personal storage as well as your gaming ssd's and os drives(PLUS your NAS/SAN on top of this). When you need more storage than this, I might consider recommending a server or data center or something like that(LOL).

One thing you might consider for your computer is a CPU liquid cooler, granted this is a large case with tons of air flow. I just like the idea that my cpu sitting in the middle of everything, and being the most important part of my computer, has it's own separate cooling system.

Update guys!

Take a look at the size difference between a normal case and the new one!

I'm copying over some data to backup so things will be a bit delayed, but we are doing this tonight!
