I been haveing big pros all weekend olny 1 person i added and thats my bro he knows my last name some how.

But its a mass when i have all my chars login at the same time he says he see a few on my list.

When i send him a msg it goes to my friest char i loged in so am chatting to my safe when he sends me a msg who knows who going to get it could be any one off my 5 chars i have logged in its very random.

Opened GM ticket they said there probey not going to be a fix and told me to login each char 15mins from each over and then it be my "last" char i logged in. so it take a hour to login all my char no thanks,

Blizzard really F'd up big time with this RealID, as well as forced real names to show on the forums.

Don't believe their lies. Showing your real name isn't about removing trolls and about making the online experience better. It is about marketing and selling your identity to advertisers and otherwise those who would benefit from knowing your information.

Everybody should read this story: RealID Changes; The Very Real Ease of Stalking In The Internet Age. What You Did There; I See It.

I personally have over a dozen years of experience in information reconnaissance. Basically I'm that guy who used to be hired to protect your company from that other guy (much like me in a way) who was hired to infiltrate it. I can tell you that, without a doubt, far and above, so much as the sky is blue and rice is a goddamn shade of white, that this RealID system is VERY, VERY bad.

I think this might be blizzards way of committing suicide... seriously, on the wow forums (the 1500 page post - so far) i have seen countless people saying 'thanks, i've cancelled my subscription, and quit SCII and cancelled the preorder for Diablo III'

They are really shooting themselves in the foot on this one.

Snowy, you've got it all wrong. Well, the numbers at least

There are over 31,000 posts on Blizzards topic saying RealID is stupid, and I would gander in the tens of thousands of individual posts have been deleted.

From all looks and appearances, Blizzard is losing big time from their RealID choice. Lots and lots of people are boycotting Blizzard products, and in all honesty, I think its going to be stuck to.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard decides to revert their RealID decision. Not because it is the right thing to do, simply because they are loosing too much money from those who are leaving. It is a shame to see what the great Blizzard company has become.

Snowfox, the Blizzard MVP (green poster) said this:

Quote:
For years I've posted about the separation of RL and WoW - that RL religion, gender, sexuality, race, age, and political bias should be kept apart. I've said that argument in literally (and I mean literally) thousands of threads. So before I somewhat drop from this thread I'd just like to give my best attempt at constructive explanatory feedback.

When I started mvp'ing I decided to always be a player first, an mvp second. There has never been a conflict there before because I believe in the game, deeply. Not as a shill but completely on my own. As a player I feel wrong about this, it is a massively intrusive thing to extend wow's umbrella to our real lives. I can't say otherwise because I'd say and believe the same thing no matter what color I posted in.

I do totally get the parts Nethaera posted about friendships created from WoW, and I've broken the "no rl" rule a little myself. There is a lot to be said for opening oneself up to the world some because online and offline must be balanced out. Those times were on *my* terms though, to a select few - something similar to what I'd thought real id was for originally. However to expose that information out to anyone and everyone is a hard limit for me. Red light STOP, you know? It is very much like asking us to undress in front of millions. Even asking us to is a big deal.

"Snowfox" is anonymous yes, but within practical boundaries - everything I say reflects entirely on this identity. We gain and lose respect within those identities. They are important and for many they are not something we wish to share with the world at large. Blizzard may own our toons, but *we* own the identities because *we* are the identities - not the bits in a database. This is a very personal thing here. You are asking us, after six years, to just all take off our masks - to the entire internet!

So I'm just going to wait. I'm still Snowfox here, I still love the game, I still hope to be in Cata, and I'll still do my best to help with the forums here... but I can't support this change, it is impossible for me to. I wasn't picked for being the type of poster who would.

I'm glad to see that some of the more 'official' icons in the wow forums are taking a stand against it. I think this will actually make blizzard think.

They say they've been reading all the comments made about this. But REALLY, they're just skimming over them. A big block of green text might actually change that, and I hope for everyone's sake ( not just my own ) that they revert from this ridiculous breach of privacy!

I am more insulted then anything. For them to use some sort of smokescreen and say they are doing this so they can "get rid of trolls" is a bunch of BS. If they as a company just tell us what they have in store, their "vision" for Wow and other games, then maybe it will help people either quit or say its not that big of a deal and keep on trucking.

But they love the cash flow and will not do anything like that. They will keep feeding us BS and string us along month after month until the last person has quit Wow. That is how Activision works now as a company and blizzard has to follow. I am not sure if blizzard sold their souls or if activision bought them out (stock), but whatever the case I have no respect for blizzard at all anymore and will not buy anymore of their games, it simply is not worth it.

I now worry about the future of games both console and PC, this "social networking" garbage is getting a little out of hand. I only see it becoming worse and worse in the near future. I do not even want to log onto Wow anymore, just seems that if I achieve anything in game right now will be for naught, because i do believe that this is only the beginning of the "vision" they (or activision) has and will eventually consume whatever dignity, morels and quality we expect from blizzard and their games.

Also if you have some free time, look up the activision president "Bobby Kotick" on google. you will get many news stories and get to read bobby's awesome quotes >.>

But hey I just might be overreacting...

No this is a very real threat and has very justified and tangible impact on personal security. Do not doubt it, people will be hurt physically and emotionally due to this RealID change.
