I have 1.5 up. I can cast at 500-700 just fine with my 360. When it comes to casting wow there are many things that go into it. If you're casting on the same computer then the screen-capture mixed with processing it down to what size you're casting. Once you get into casting at say 720p, the casts can get pretty intensive on both your PC as well as your internet connection.

So in essence, there are 2 things that do go into it, PC power and internet. PC power specifically if you're casting from the same computer you're playing, and internet needs to be rapidly more powerful at a higher bit rate.

But each persons situation is different too.

My first upgrade would me a new video card. The upperend 9000 series nVidia card should be relatively cheap with the 200 series being the current series push. Or opt for a lower-end 200 series.

While I cant look it up, that looks like one of nVidia's onboard chips. Because of that, it shares ram with the rest of the system. By default, the sharing changes dynamically (and thus uses resources to change on the fly). BIOS should have an option to specify absolutely how much RAM you want dedicated to video.

As a short-term solution, I'd suggest utlizing that option. It'll help smooth things out instead of the system constant allocating as littlre as possible an choking the GPU. However, replace it with a dedicated card asap. Its the best solution overall.

See if you can hunt down the maximum amount of RAM that thing can handle. 2 gigs isnt bad, but Im a sucker for high-memory systems. My guess is that youre looking at a 2 slot motherboard in which case youll be restricted to probably 4 gigs total. Thats just because 4 gig sticks just arent around.

Also, most likely, youre on a 32-bit system (check to make sure). If so, youre restricted to roughly 3 gigs or so (thats the cap on 32bit). But in all honesty, RAM is cheap so just shoot for 2x 2gig sticks.

If you get a video card, you wont be dedicating any system RAM. For now, Id just use the option that gives you the most. Its either 256megs or 512 megs.

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more! is where I get all of my parts.

As for boxing, 3-4 gigs should be plenty. 2 gigs might pull it off as long as you dont have the GPU taking part of it. Giving the GPU a static amount of RAM should improve the performance of a single copy of WoW. If you plan on multi-boxing, Id ballpark 512megs times however many copies you plan to run, with about a gig extra for Windows and other stuff and for some wiggle room.
