Default Quick ?

Next weekend (Nov 13 and 14) I will be upgrading my computer!
I will have a clean install of Win7 (64bit), 4gb Ram (making it 8gb Ram), a new video card (Nvidia GE Force 9500) and a new CPU (the e8400 -- 3.0 Ghz) and was wondering when I re-install WOW, should I partition my new Hard disk for all my WOW accounts, or just download from Blizz the software from their download center and use the one wow.exe again for pwnboxer like I am doing now?

Edit: Also, do I need to use a new pwnboxer on my new install, will it still be active, or can I copy and transfer the files, et al from the old hard disk and copy later when the new OS is up and running? I still have saved the information for when I first bought and activated pwnboxer back in Oct

I find having windows on its own partition/hard drive is better. That way the actual OS has its own disk space to hog, and WoW and any other games you might have will use its own partition/hard drive

Here is what I would recommend:

#1 - Back up your WoW installs to a USB disk. Then just copy them over to your new HD. You don't need to reinstall WoW.

#2 - Partition your HD to best be able to not be fragmented. Do 1 partition for your OS. 1 for your data. 1 just for WoW. Then, every month or so, copy your WoW files to your data partition, reformat your WoW partition that it used to be on, then copy the files back over. BAM - 0 fragments.

#3 - Just reinstall your OS, download Pwnboxer, run it, then send me the information from here http://multiboxing.com/forums/f32/is...-stop-290.html and I can reset your Pwnboxer license to your new OS.

Thanks Tim you are awesome! Less than 24 hours I will be running my computer with major upgrades and soon thereafter I will be 5 man boxing without any computer lags, hang ups or low memory warning! I am already looking to using the new Pwnboxer on my new setup, I did run when it was released this past Tuesday and it kicks major butt!

Congrats Tim!

Keep it up!

I will let you know what my new ID is when my new OS is installed tomorrow night!

I would recommend a new install of wow. I do it every six months and it makes an amazing difference in performance. I also reinstall my OS every six months as well :/

The big thing is that you whack all the cache your wow has built up.

If you do a repair and select all the options, that does it too

Save your WTF file and your Config, so you don't have to set up addons, windows, keybinds etc each time.

If I get some slow responses with fast game switching in PwnBoxer, I just wipe out my WoW cache folder and do a defrag of my HDD (and a disk cleanup). Does the trick for me.
