When I bought WotLK at the release, I also bought the battlechest for a third account for $19.99. GameStop now has the same battlechest for $39.99 - keep an eye out for these things.

Definitely buy the battle chest! You'll save yourself $10 on the cost of BC at current store prices.

You can sometimes find some deals. The other week Best Buy or Target I can't remember had their BC's for $15-20.

Did they give an eta for a vanilla to Wotlk battlechest?
And how long did it take them to rls the vanilla to bc battlechest after the expansion?

October, 2007 is when it came out; I bought one the day I saw it at Walmart. I'd say they won't release a new one until late/early next year; whenever the new expansion will be getting close.
