Default Question about RAF level granting efficiency...

I have 4 RAF accounts linked:

A->B->C->D

with a 5th account (X) I am using to boost (80 prot paladin).

My goal is to eventually have a 60 of every class on at LEAST accounts A, B, and C, and eventually transfer my uber-geared resto shaman to account D. This will give me a tank, healer, and 3 DPS of whatever I happen to be in the mood for on A, B, and C. Having extra 60s on account D (especially if they are heals to swap out with the resto shaman later on) would be a bonus. All 60s I will eventually level to 80 after my RAF is over.

What is the best way to maximize the use of the free levels I earn while under RAF to obtain the above goal? Ive read a couple of the RAF guides here and nothing seems to fit my situation exactly and I know a lot of you out there have more experience with it than I. =)

Thanks in advance!

Default Re: Question about RAF level granting efficiency...

A -- B -- C -- D

Will get you the maximum number of cascading granted levels.
As in levels, spread across all of the accounts.

Due to diminishing granted levels (you can only grant levels to toons below your level), if you want to grant toons to 60th, you need to boost 2x as many sets of toons as the number of links in your chain.

For example:
A -- B
A -- C
A -- D
You'd need to boost two sets on B, for B to give a 60th to A.
This is good for a lot of levels on A, but is not ideal for 10 of every class on A, B and C.

Or:
A -- B -- C
A -- B -- D
You would need to boost 4 sets of toons, to take full advantage of the cascading levels.
Basically, C and D each use a 60 to grant 30 levels to B, and the 30 on B grants 15 levels to A. Do this four times, and the cascaded levels total a (two) full 60's on A (one from C and one from D), in addition to the granted from B.

So you'd have 4 60's on each account, from the actual boosting.
Plus four extra 60's on B from granted levels.
Plus six extra 60's on A from granted levels.
A (10), B (8), C (4) and D (4).

I'd probably just go with:
X -- A -- B -- C -- D

You boost A-D with X, say six sets of toons.
Then do any transfers from X to D.

D grants C... 3 more toons.
C grants B... 3 more toons.
B grants A... 3 more toons.
A grants X... 3 more toons.

That's 9 toons on A, B and C.... 6 toons on D (plus any transfers).... and 3 extra toons on X.
And probably a 10th toon on A and B, due to cascading granted levels.
