Question about the loot system.. - Multiboxing in World of Warcraft and Beyond!

I have never been a party leader before or in charge of the loot system until I have started multiboxing. A few questions to help me out as I level my 4 hunters/1 priest and 5 shamans.

Does the loot system only work in Instances, Raids, etc?
If not, how can I change from Free for All to Master Looter without it reverting my selection back to Free to All once I select Master Looter?

Do you use the Jamba addon?

I do! There must be a config to set that up, correct?

Look on the Jamba-Group config screen. There should be checkboxes for the loot options.
