Unhappy PwnBoxer - World of Warcraft was unable to start up 3D acceleration
Hi, just got pwnboxer and although wow runs fine on its own, when I run two games of it in pwnboxer I get "World of Warcraft was unable to start up 3D acceleration. Please make sure DirectX 9.0c is installed and your video drivers are up-to-date."

I went ahead and updated drivers for my Nvidia 8400GS, and I am running Vista 64-bit which says I have Directx 10. Do I have to have Directx 9, or does it mean Directx 9 or above?

Does anyone know why this might be happening?

PwnBoxer only works with windowed mode because of the window switching and FTL setup and when you have 3D enabled you can't have windowed on. Just turn off 3D and you should be fine...it would wreck your eyes if it could do that though.

I've never heard of 3d World of Warcraft, but I think Supamario is right Try disabling it and running WoW in normal windowed mode.

Thanks, you are referring to the video card settings, or a setting in wow? I will not have access to the computer until later today to try it...

Both? All I know is maybe kensik (maybe?) had that problem and disabled it then he was all good.

They actually do have WoW and Starcraft II in 3d... played it at blizzcon. pretty sweet stuff.

Still no luck - I could not find a specific setting in NVidia CP or wow for disabling 3D. Can you guys be more specific?

Also, do I have to be at Directx 9.0c, or is anything above that okay?

Are you talking about 3d, as in 3d glasses required KSosz?

I have ATI idk how to use Nvidia settings
