Prot Pally Help? - Multiboxing in World of Warcraft and Beyond!

Slowly gearing my paladin Tyrrion for tanking, but unsure what to gem for.

Do I gem purely for Stamina and only use other colours to hit my meta gem target?

Do I need to gem for hit or expertise, or will these come with gear?

Not actually tanked anything yet, been helped by guildies to get some gear but I think i'm nearly ready for a go at tanking

every one of your gems should have stam on it

thanks for the reply, guess i'll jst need the rest of my tanking set before I start enchanting/gemming so I know what stats I need

If you are not defense capped (535 heroics, 540 raids), defense should be the first priority.

Once you are defense capped, a combination of stamina (more health) and greater avoidance (parry, dodge, block, defense etc) are the goals of a tank. As a paladin, our threat is from blocked attacks and we get quite a bit of block. Strength is a decent stat to gem for in Red Sockets. Stamina is always good, and we have several talents to increase our health from stamina by a percentage.

Check out (check prot) on Best Talents for Patch 3.3 of World of Warcraft - WoW Popular - Filter by Talents, for the most popular choices based on wowarmory parses. Popular is not always best, but its usually pretty close.

551 is fine, it gives me room to change out stuff if upgrades are available.
